Fotografo, nato a Genova, vive e lavora a Trieste dove ha fondato lo Studio Azimut. Inizialmen- te ispirato dal mondo teatrale e della danza, negli anni ha sviluppato una ricerca di ripresa e trattamento delle immagini che lo ha portato a stringere lunghi sodalizi con i più importanti designer italiani. La sua visione creativa, in equilibrio tra ricerca personale e rispetto delle esigenze commer- ciali, viene scelta per ridefinire l’identità visiva di molti brand. La sua personale interpretazione delle forme floreali scardina tutte le imposizioni standard: le immagini dei suoi fiori racchiudo- no un’armoniosa fusione tra la poeticità della morbidezza e il rigore grafico diventando coper- tine di libri, trame di tessuti e oggetti d’arredo. Nel 2023 pubblica per Corraini, insieme a Alessandra Muran, Chromatic Herbarium, un volu- me che è più di un erbario: fa incontrare la natura e l’aspetto grafico e cromatico che essa può esprimere. La sua ricerca creativa prosegue fotografando il mare e gli orizzonti, già diventati protagonisti di mostre personali e libri. A photographer, born in Genoa, he lives and works in Trieste where he founded Studio Azimut. Initially inspired by the world of theatre and dance, over the years he has developed a research into shooting and treatment of images that has led him to enter into long partnerships with the most important Italian designers. His creative vision, balanced between personal research and respect for commercial needs, is chosen to redefine the visual identity of many brands. His personal interpretation of floral forms breaks all standard impositions: the images of its flowers enclose a harmonious fusion of poetic softness and graphic rigour. Graphic becoming book covers, fabric textures and fur- nishing objects. In 2023 he published for Corraini, together with Alessandra Muran, Chromatic Herbarium, a volume that is more than a herbarium: it brings together nature and the graphic and chromatic aspects it can express. His creative research continues by photographing the sea and horizons, which have already become the protagonists of personal exhibitions and books.
