We are proud to announce that we had the largest attendance at the C. Roger Wilson Leadership Conference in our modern-day conference, with over 400 brothers Thank you, Columbus (GA) Alumni and the Columbus State University Chapter, the Eta Theta of Kappa Alpha Psi for a stellar job in hosting the province in true Fountain City Style. We were proud to have our Senior Grand Vice Polemarch, Jimmy McMikle, share his time with us. We’ve kept our promise by using our monthly Polemarchs call as training opportunities to engage our leaders and to offer a true platform conducive to real conversation relative to local chapter growth. Again, at your request, we have brought back the life membership, named it Race to the Centennial, in honor of the Southeastern Province’s Centennial year, and filled the 100 available life memberships within six days of relaunch. That program has a total of 82 fully paid and 18 subscriptions. This leads us to the discussion of our finances. The SEP is fiscally sound as we are still above the 1 million dollar mark in investments and funds. We grew from 1.2 million to 1.4 million since our last meeting. Because we’ve grown fiscally, we now must manage how we report our transactions to the Internal Revenue Service tightly than before. We have begun to do so by strengthening our internal controls through recommendations from the finance committee. I would also like to acknowledge our increased relationships with our community partners, Vertex, and Keen Water. Vertex remains a partner of the Southeastern Province, and this year, has increased its sponsorship level from $10K to $15K, which allows us to do even more in the area of health and wellness. Keen Water was founded with the intent to help people increase their health and wellness with ultimate hydration. They have specifically chosen to help the brothers of the Southeastern Province stay hydrated and donated 450 bottles of water for our Province Council.
Our Guide Right has not missed a step with the transition of directorship from Brother Neely to Brother Sharrell. We are still award-winning in most categories. Brothers! We are in very great shape. The province is still moving. We are making our mark, but we still have unfortunate circumstances that may bring barriers. We are still fighting our brothers’ need to belong to elements that are contrary to our beliefs and who we are as an organization. This element has done nothing to promote wholesome success for our organization, YET it has caused us all to have to focus on protecting our person, our place, and our things. We will continue to evaluate how we do our conferences, as we have made beautiful progress, and we will stand tall as we move out of the 34 administration into the 35 . We are in line as we are holding up the banner of “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges and Leaving No Brother Behind,” AND with that will turn our focus in Tampa to “Performance over Politics.” We are poised to (if we are willing to) be servant leaders and hopefully not be the ones who lead the charge to be served. We are moving to the next level, and we need you, brothers. th th
Thank You, My Brothers!
This still belongs to us!
