Southeastern Province Strengthens Commitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by Norman Johnson The Southeastern Province continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families through its unwavering support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Under the dedicated leadership of Brother Norman Johnson of the Atlanta (GA) Alumni Chapter, who serves as the Province’s Chairman for St. Jude Initiatives, the Southeastern Province has demonstrated both compassion and commitment in the fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital holds a special place in the heart of our fraternity, and the Southeastern Province has proudly answered the call to support its mission. Through organized fundraising efforts, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, the brothers of the province have mobilized their resources and networks to help ensure that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude—not for treatment, travel, housing, or food. Brother Johnson has been instrumental in coordinating local chapter activities that align with St. Jude’s national fundraising efforts. From charity walks and fitness events to creative donation drives, the Southeastern Province continues to push forward with innovative and heartfelt contributions. “Our work with St. Jude reflects the very essence of servant leadership,” said Brother Johnson. “It’s about making a real difference—not only by raising funds, but by raising hope.” The province’s involvement also serves as a powerful example of what can be accomplished through unity and purpose. Chapters across the Southeastern region have come together under Brother Johnson’s guidance to support annual initiatives such as the St. Jude Walk/Run, Sunday of Hope, and virtual giving campaigns, significantly advancing the fraternity’s collective impact. In supporting St. Jude, the Southeastern Province is doing more than raising money—it is standing in solidarity with families facing unimaginable challenges, and helping to fund the groundbreaking research and treatment that saves lives around the world. As the fraternity continues its historic partnership with St. Jude, the Southeastern Province remains a driving force—living out our values through action, compassion, and an enduring commitment to service. Honoring Service: Brother John Dunmyer Leads Military and Veterans Affairs Commission with Distinction By John Dunmyer, III Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has long upheld a tradition of service and leadership, and that legacy continues through the outstanding work of the Military and Veterans Affairs Commission (MVAC). Supporting and Recognizing Military, Cadets, Veterans, and Their Families – From public acknowledgments to personal engagement, the commission ensures that military-affiliated brothers feel seen, valued, and celebrated for their service. 2. Establishing Outreach Programs – Tailored initiatives have been developed to assist veterans and service members with transitions, wellness, benefits education, and more. 3.
