In a province as dynamic and expansive as the Southeastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., communication is not only key—it is foundational to our growth, unity, and shared excellence. That foundation is firmly supported by one of the province’s most enduring and impactful tools: The Southeastern Khronicle , our official province newsletter. Launched under the visionary leadership of the 23 Province Administration , The Southeastern Khronicle was first brought to life under the editorial direction of Dr. Willie L. Todd, Jr. , who served as the inaugural editor. To foster engagement and ownership from the brotherhood, then-Province Polemarch James Freeman introduced a contest to name the publication. Out of that creative effort, Brother Terence Turner of the Delta Xi Chapter submitted the winning entry, thus branding the newsletter with the name we honor today: The Southeastern Khronicle . rd THE POWER OF THE PEN: THE IMPACT OF THE SOUTHEASTERN KHRONICLE
A Chronicle of Brotherhood and Impact
More than just a collection of announcements, The Southeastern Khronicle is a powerful chronicle of the fraternity’s work across South Carolina, Georgia, the continent of Africa, and the Middle East Region. Under the editorial guidance of Brother Tyran White, the newsletter continues to grow in relevance and professionalism. Each edition captures the progress of our chapters, the impact of community service, and the roll-out of new initiatives and province-level efforts that strengthen our collective identity.
The publication has become a vital platform for: Highlighting chapter achievements and award-winning programs
Promoting upcoming province initiatives and events Sharing best practices that other chapters can replicate Recognizing brothers and chapters for their commitment to service and achievement
On a "nice-to-know" basis, The Khronicle also publishes the names of candidates who file timely in the nominations process, offering transparency and early insight into provincial leadership aspirations.
More Than a Newsletter—A Living Record The Southeastern Khronicle is more than a newsletter. It is a living record of excellence, a tool of accountability, and a source of inspiration. It preserves our history while propelling our narrative forward. Its publication reminds us that while we operate in different cities and serve unique communities, we are all connected by a single bond and a shared commitment to the mission of Kappa Alpha Psi. As we move further into the fraternal year, the continued success of The Southeastern Khronicle depends on chapter contributions, timely submissions, and engagement from brothers across the province. Whether you’re highlighting a successful event, recognizing a milestone, or announcing a new initiative, your voice belongs in The Khronicle.
