FCT Our Town March 2023

Fauquier Community Theatre 45th Anniversary Season Warrenton, VA

WELCOME

Director's Notes Thank you for visiting Our Town . This show has been years in the making (well, years in the waiting) but the universe has finally brought us here. To You. To bear witness to the magic, the love and this beautiful story. I am so grateful to this cast and crew for their dedication to bring my version to the stage. This was the first show in which I saw my father make magic, when he breathed life into Simon Stimson. It wasn’t my first show or his but this play had a different kind of magic. Not one of fantasy but of real life. This magic, this true reflection of everyday and of everyone, sent electricity through my soul. The love of a father and daughter, the love of family, and the pain of love lost. Thornton had put into writing what all of us at one point or another feels and experiences. At that young age, it blew my mind and opened my heart. I hope you find some magic here today. Enjoy the show! S* I would love to share my gratitude to the best producer anyone could have. Stub, with your support and trust you drove me to make the best out of everything. Your positivity and generosity is a gift and I am blessed to call you my friend. xx Thank you to Emily M. for stepping up to be stage manager and helping me remember how fantastic chaos can be! xx Alecia, thank you for being the best social director a director could wish for and for always stepping in and helping out, you’re amazing! xx Marty, thank you for taking on anything I could throw at you. I’m in awe of you! xx Jiles and Bronson thank you for always supporting me and the production! I'm proud of you both!! xx Thank you, Fallon for all your support, great conversations and your yummy cookies! xx Thank you to the entire cast for always supporting each other and me and for putting your whole hearts into creating this wonderful magic. You are all stupendous! I am forever grateful! xx Thank you to my parents Kevin and Juana for showing me the magic of theatre and the arts. For being the best and most supportive parents in the world! Los quiero mucho xx Thank you to my daughters, Gwen and Ellie, for their love and support and for reminding me to eat during tech week. Mama loves you! xx I want to give my love and a very special thanks to my husband John, who has been there for me for the past twenty-three years and continues to be there for me today. I could not have done it without you! (See, I put it in writing. Wink.) I love you! xx ___________________________________________________________________ Special Thanks To Glenn Lorenz and Associated Consultants, Inc. who graciously donated sound equipment and me for the run of this performance. You can see Todd's work at local art galleries. Cole Clark and Morgan Pepin - are incredibly experienced Kettle Run High School seniors. Their love of lighting and sound show s in the details of their engineering skills.
