MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR SUMMER JOB
By accepting a job with an employer, you are also accepting a supervisor or someone that you are accountable to. Here are a few ways to make the most of the working relationship.
Learn your job and do it proficiently. Be a team player and work well with others. Listen and communicate effectively with others. Treat everyone with respect and dignity. Be dependable and reliable. Show up to work when scheduled. Conduct yourself in a professional manner. Be able to resolve problems and make good life/work choices. Respond to new opportunities. Exhibit good work ethic and exercise good moral judgment. Keep busy; inform your supervisor when you complete your assigned tasks. “Developing a good work ethic is key. Apply yourself at whatever you do, whether you’re a janitor, or taking your first summer job, because that work ethic will be reflected in everything you do in life.” – Tyler Perry
