1070 wick. Is it made to shine, too? Yes, it is made to shine with all its little light. But how can this small candle get a light? Can it light itself? No, but it can he lighted from the big candle. Now it is lighted. It shines, too, though the light is small. If. you were in a very dark room you would he glad of a light no bigger than this. Now here is another candle. Is the light from the first little one big enough to light another? Try it and see. (Have children hold the candles' and do the lighting.) Primary Teacher, August, 1919. Lesson Story.—When Jesus was down here on earth He could only be in one place at a time, and so He needed helpers to send out to other towns and villages, so that is why He chose the twelve disciples or helpers. The help ers needed Jesus, for if He had not given them power they could not have done any work for Him. They would have been just like other men, but with Jesus’ help they could go forth and do the works of Jesus. Jesus was the light of the world, and the helpers be lieved in Jesus and came to Him and had their sins forgiven and then they too became lights to go out and give the wonderful light of Jesus to others who did not know about Jesus who could forgive their sins and shed His light of love into their hearts. Jesus gave His helpers power to do miracles, so that those who should see them do those wonderful works might believe the gospel that they preached. Jesus told these helpers or disciples that where ever they went among the peo ple, to heal their sick, make the lepers well, and to even raise the dead; and to be sure and tell everybody that Jesus had come to save every single person who would believe on Him. When we take a light into a dark roomNthe darkness goes away, and so when, the light of Jesus comes into a heart that is dark and black because of sin, the darkness and sin goes away.

THE KI NG ' S BUSINESS No person with sin in their heart can ever see Jesus, so that is-why Jesus sent helpers to tell people how they could have clean hearts. Jesus is calling for helpers today to tell people that Jesus has come and wants to forgive people and make their hearts pure and clean. If you put a candle under a box wUl it give light? No, it. can not give light if we cover it up. Now boys and girls there is a wonderful lesson we cai. learn of the candle that was light, lighting another candle, and then that one lighting another, and still each candle shone just as brightly as before it had helped another to shine. Now we who know Jesus and have His light in our hearts must be Jesus’ little help ers and let our light shine to bring His light and love to some one else. May be there are some boys and girls we know who do not. go to Sunday School, and who do not know Jesus. If we do not tell them, we are covering up our light, and they will be lost in the dark ness of sin just because we did not tell them of Jesus. We have received this wonderful light of Jesus, so we must do our best to tell everybody we can about it, so they, too, can have Jesus’ light in their hearts and be saved. Our Memory verse will help us. Freely ye have received, freely give. (Make the application according to the ability of each class. Some can be taught that our every day lives and words are to some extent telling about Jesus to the people who see and hear us.) Closing Prayer.-je-Dear Lord Jesus we thank thee for thy love, and help us let our light shine where ever we are. DON’T FORGET THE TEA PARTY The editor of the Cartoon Magazine remarks, “ And to think that one of the most glorious pages in the story of America’s struggle fpr independence was the battle of “ Brandywine.” On the other hand there was the Boston Tea Party.
