About WCN Wisconsin Christian News represents a cooper- ative effort by active Christians from all walks of life. In our pages and on our website, you will find Infor- mation, Education and Inspiration, with a majority of the articles written by members of our “WCN Fam- ily” of contributors. There is something of interest to every member of the family. We hope you are blessed and become a regular reader. WCN seeks, at all times, to publish the TRUTH, regardless of “political correctness,” standing up for America’s historical Christian heritage and urging a return to biblical, moral standards. We offer very thought-provoking commentary, inspired teach- ing, real life testimonies, world, national, state and regional news, plus advice and information from experts in their areas of business and ministry -- all in the various sections of our 48-page newspa- per. In addition to providing valuable content to the Christian community, we focus equally on reach- ing those who are lost and seeking, and those who may have been alienated from church as an institution in the past. You’ll find WCN on the racks in the lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, shopping centers and malls and most Christian book stores. Of course, you can also find a copy at many of our “Ministry Partner” advertisers’ business and ministry locations. This is our outreach to the mar- ketplace, and we receive many wonderful testi- monies from people who have found the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding our newspaper in a public place. Our Doctrinal Statement • There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. • Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was
• The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all na- tions. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and pre-mil- lennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. All viewpoints expressed in Wisconsin Christian News are those of the authors and do not nec- essarily represent the viewpoint of the publishers. conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He died, was buried and arose from the dead ac- cording to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of right- eousness and peace. • The Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. • The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as origi- nally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. • Man was originally created in the image and like- ness of God; he fell through disobedience, incurring, thereby, both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the love of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. • Salvation has been made available through Jesus Christ for all men; those who repent and be- lieve in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. • It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion. • Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mor- tal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the church in the present age.

Blue In the Face
By Rob Pue September 2025
pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” The trouble is, most professing Christians don’t think this applies to them. But it specifically ap- plies to them! Our Heavenly Father is specifically saying, “If My people...” That means us — those who claim the name of Christ. I believe if we call ourselves “Chris- tians,” we’d better be sure we’re not tak- ing that sacred Name in vain. What does this verse call God’s people to do? 1) Humble themselves. That’s a hard pill to swallow for so many church-goers. After all, they’re doing their duty. They attend church every week — some are there every time the doors are open. They’re involved, active in their local church. They give their money to the church, and believe they have it all to- gether. They’re saved by grace. But are they humble? Are they teachable? Or do they think they already know all there is to know about Our Creator and His commands? Do they survive on as- sumed “grace,” telling themselves that “no one is perfect and God will certainly forgive all my past and future sins; and my continued hidden sins are under the grace of the blood of the Lamb?” Try to dig deeper into the Word of God, or push to take Scripture literally, and urge faithful church-goers to even make an attempt to follow the commands of God, and you’ll quickly find out how UN- humble they really are.
Well, I guess it’s official: I’m now “blue in the face.” The kind of blue that frus- trated people get when they’ve said something so many times, they say they’ve done it ‘til they’re “blue in the face.” Recently, I received an email from someone who reads my commentaries on one of the many online platforms that republishes my messages from Wiscon- sin Christian News and our radio broad- casts. This is someone who contacts me frequently, always starting out telling me how they enjoyed my message and agreed with most of it, but then spends another fifteen minutes telling me how I missed the mark. Don’t get me wrong; I can certainly take criticism, and believe me, I get more than my fair share. I don’t claim to be infallible, and the mes- sages I write are not always inclusive, because space only allows me to cover so many aspects of any particular topic. Most recently, my critic accused me of “never” telling people the vital solution to America’s problems. I was told that I’m correct about identifying and calling out the critical issues our society suffers from, but that I “never” offer the solu- tion. This is a common correspondence I receive from this person. They correct me weekly — no matter what I’m writing or talking about — and even when I do address the specific solutions this per- son is so insistent about, I never seem to do it to their satisfaction. So, this past week, I wrote back that I do, in fact, address exactly their con- cerns, frequently. I have , in fact, written
and spoken extensively about the partic- ular areas of Scripture they feel are most vitally important. And I agree with them. What they brought up is the so- lution we’re all searching for. But I’ve covered these things so often, I feel I’ve done it “‘til I’m blue in the face,” yet, somehow, they’ve missed all those arti- cles. Maybe because they never bother to visit our website: WisconsinChristian- News.com, subscribe to our newspaper or get to know what our mission here is all about. They only read other websites — the ones that republish my articles, but some of which only publish the ones dealing with secular matters, and not spiritual ones. But again, this person is correct about the solution. And although I’ve done it so often, I feel I’ve written and spoken on these things “‘til I’m blue in the face,” I’m going to do it again here, because many of you have also, somehow, missed the importance of the solution to all our problems. I know many have missed it,
based on the responses I receive after radio broadcasts. I get a lot more re- sponse from people requesting tran- scripts or audio CDs to read or listen to again — or share with others — when I discuss things related to politics, gov- ernment, Globalism, or frightening things now manifesting on the earth. But when I speak on spiritual matters, it seems like no one’s listening. Perhaps because my readers and lis- teners believe they already know all this. But it’s one thing to have head knowl- edge and another thing to actually do something about it. Case in point: I’ve heard 2 Chronicles 7:14 recited so many times, by well-meaning Christians, who understand this is the answer we’re so desperately seeking as a nation — but I don’t think I’ve ever heard about anyone actually trying to implement what this verse calls us to do. Let’s read it:
“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and

identify as ‘transgender.” The greatest surge ap- pears to be in peer groups. Indeed, this grooming and social experimentation are reaping disastrous results! As a society we are fast approaching the days of Noah. It was a time when God unleashed His judg- ment on the earth. It was a time when “every imag- ination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5). Day after day, we see how we are following in those footsteps. Our wayward society doesn’t stop at this issue alone, but continues down an errant path. We now understand with the surge of artificial intelligence (AI) that the pornography crisis is being fueled. The creating of such material including child porn is ex- ploding. The consequences will be unfathomable. Indeed, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and
In my column last month, I drew attention to the ravages of violence taking place in our so- ciety. The problem has only in- tensified! Milwaukee has now surpassed 100 homicides this year and infamously, is part of
the top 15 most violent cities in America. Chicago was a nightmare over Labor Day weekend with some 58 people shot, 8 of whom did not survive. Joining Milwaukee in the most violent cities included such places as Memphis, Nashville, St. Louis, Baltimore, Detroit and multiple other hot spots. Consider what happened recently in Minneapolis as a gen- der-confused male shot multiple students at a religious private school and church claiming the lives of an 8-year-old and a 10- year-old. In the aftermath of this tragedy, news commentators bent over backwards to issue their apologies for “misgendering” the alleged shooter using male pronouns until they realized this biological male identified as a “she.” As many turned to prayer, almost immediately, politicians sent out news releases or posts making comments saying “enough about thoughts and prayers.” Rep. Justin Jones of Tennessee referred to these prayers as “theological malprac- tice.” They insist this problem mandates gun control. But where are the calls for examining the transgender ideology? A journal recovered from the alleged shooter indicated there was great regret over his decision to “transition.” In this journal he wrote, “I am tired of being ‘trans,’ I wish I never brain- washed myself.” Jen Psaki, the former White House Press Secretary from the Biden Administration, sent out a post on X in part writing. “Prayers does not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers.” The problem is that we have gone to great lengths to eradi- cate God and prayer from our society. We have turned our back on God and have pushed Him out of the public arena. Then, when a tragedy occurs, people will accusingly ask, “Where was God?”
Think about the efforts going on to further the devastating misguidance of the transgender lifestyle. Over the summer, one-third of the Wisconsin State Assembly and nearly one-half of the Wisconsin State Senate co-sponsored legislation to ban what they call “conversion therapy” in the state. What they call “conversion therapy” is actually giving counsel guiding people away from the delusion that it’s possible to change one’s sex. It does not use “shock probes” that some allege; rather it is giv- ing counsel or “talk therapy.” It’s interesting to note that those who yell “follow the science” on so many matters completely abandon science on this one. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy is beginning a probe of the drugs prescribed to individuals who are gender confused and their side effects and considering the impact these are having on violent actions. As more and more hospitals are pulling back the reins on is- suing puberty blocking drugs, cross sex hormones and body mutilating surgery, Michigan Representative Carrie Rheingans has taken it upon herself to encourage gender-confused chil- dren to reach out to her office and she would connect them to services which she referred to as being “safe and effective.” We must wake up to the fact that these harmful practices are neither “safe” nor “effective.” As the LGBTQ+ agenda continues to be promoted in the classrooms, Lifesitenews.com reports “according to a new study by the Williams Institute at UCLA’s School of Law, ap- proximately 2.8 million Americans who are 13 or older now
desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). On yet another matter, evil continues to rear its diabolical head. Many states are going to great lengths to continue their mission of killing pre-born children. Tragically, we treat human life like trash that can be discarded. LifeNews.com recently re- ported of a “21-year-old University of Kentucky student and self-styled beauty queen” who is facing charges after she “ad- mitted to officers that she gave birth and attempted to conceal the evidence.” She allegedly had given birth and then “wrapped [her baby] in a towel inside of a trash bag.” This bag was hidden in a closet. In yet another situation, liveaction.org reported that in Illinois a man was arrested and charged with “intentional homicide of an unborn child for allegedly giving the abortion pill mifepristone to his girlfriend, causing her baby’s death.” This is further in- dication our society is mirroring the time of the judges of which it is said, “every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 21:25). It is truly time for individuals, churches, and our nation as a whole to turn to God and repent of this evil we have so warmly embraced. We have been warned in the Scriptures that this world would one day again follow after the days of Noah with awaiting judg- ment. We are fast approaching such times. Don’t ignore the urgency of the hour. You have been warned! VCY.org

there is a coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” George Washington said as much. The father of our country warned us to not undermine “religion and morality” in his
Recently, the shooter in Minneapolis of little children in a Catholic church- school during mass was discovered to have written on one of his weapons, “Where is your god [sic].” He used a pic- ture of Jesus on his target in practice before the big day of shooting.
By the way, I think we have no clue how many times God spares us from the complete ravages of sinful attempts to kill. Perhaps enough to see it was a real threat, but with much less damage than could have been. I always remember
Farewell Address. He said that “national morality” will not be able to “prevail in ex- clusion of religious principle.” The founders might not have agreed on all details of theology, but they agreed on the no- tion that God will hold us accountable one day. As Thomas Jefferson observed, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just — that His justice can-
And now the left says to us in effect: “Don’t pray, just prey.” The last part refers to allow- ing unfettered evil to flourish — to continue to prey on the weak and vulnerable. As Gary Bauer noted: “Satan wrote the script for the atrocities that transpired yesterday at a Minneapolis Catholic church and school. The transgender shooter’s message, ‘Where’s your God now,’ wasn’t refer- ring to Allah. It was re-
ferring to the God of the Bible, the God Catholics, Jews, and Protestants wor- ship. The only God, by the way. ‘Where’s your God now’ was Satan mocking God.” It’s amazing to see how swift the con- demnation from the left was against even the idea of prayers — as if prayers alone were the solution offered to try and stop these things. They do hint at the solution: to get back to the knowl- edge of God, the One who is there and who will hold us all accountable one day.
reading the details of the Columbine shootings. The two killers aimed to kill a thousand people. Thank God that they fell short by 986 (or 984, if you count them). In another August (1984), then presi- dential candidate, Ronald Reagan, gave a speech at a Dallas Prayer Meeting on the importance of recognizing God in the public arena — if for nothing else its im- pact on morality: “We establish no reli- gion in this country, nor will we ever. We command no worship. We mandate no belief. But we poison our society when we remove its theological underpin- nings. We court corruption when we leave it bereft of belief. All are free to be- lieve or not believe; all are free to prac- tice a faith or not. But those who believe must be free to speak of and act on their belief, to apply moral teaching to public questions....Without God, there is no virtue, because there’s no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we’re mired in the material, that flat world
not sleep forever.”
As a nation, we are still reaping the consequences of a terrible string of Supreme Court decisions from the 1960s, and ‘80s. They ruled against school prayer, Bible reading at school (as devotional), creation being allowed to be taught, even the Ten Command- ments (with its famous line: “Thou shalt not murder”) were disallowed at school. It’s as if the Left, through their surro- gates on the High Court went out of their way to build a firewall against the children in the schools learning any- thing about God. And now we’re reaping the consequences. As Os Guinness, the great Christian thinker and author, postulates in his book, “A Free People’s Suicide,” “One cannot point to a free and lasting civi- lization anywhere in history that was built on atheistic foundations.” Ulti- mately, America’s only two true options are: Revival or Ruin.
As to the condemnation of prayer, con- sider these examples:
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frei, who al- most single-handedly destroyed his city in the wake of the George Floyd riots, spoke of prayer as if it were nothing. After all, the children in the church- school were literally playing when the bullets began to fly. Jen Psaki famously blasted prayer as useless. She posted on X: “Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings….Enough with the thoughts and prayers.” Fox News quotes other leftist leaders who blamed prayers or, at best, called them useless, such as Rep. Maxwell

In Minnesota, Free Speech Not Allowed For Teachers With Conservative Viewpoints
By Greg Piper, JustTheNews.com September 2025
Sahan Journal the district declined its terms. He’s confident Zahn would win because UMLC got a $30,000 settlement from another Minnesota district that let teachers put up Black Lives Matter posters in class. The district told Just the News it does not comment on pending litiga- tion. The lawsuit reaffirms the Land of 10,000 Lakes’ reputation as a hotbed
views I share are mine & mine alone and only represent me.” She shared a meme Dec. 1, 2024, in the Prior Lake Light Hearted Conservative Group US, which still has fewer than 900 members who must be individually approved by Facebook group administrators, that reads “The family that is deported together stays together.” She has no reason to believe any student in her class or their parents
School districts often admonish teachers to be careful how they rep- resent themselves on social media, especially by not identifying them- selves with the district or posting during work hours, so as not to create
headaches with parents and community members. But what happens when the district itself adds fuel to a small controversy, then punishes a teacher who did everything right for the disruption the district caused? Minnesota's Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools unconstitutionally suspended award-winning teacher Brooke Zahn without pay for her post in a private Facebook group, under her maiden name and from her home, which it obtained from pro- gressive activists and then showed to families with children in her school and all district employees, Zahn’s lawsuit says. “It was not standard practice in the District or at Jeffers Pond Elementary to broadcast personnel matters to all staff or all families in this manner” and had never happened in Zahn’s eight years teaching in the district, according to the suit, which seeks revocation of the district’s “disciplinary di- rectives” and actual and punitive damages.
“ever objected” to the meme, which only drew “rel- atively widespread notice online” from others who are “for the most part” not even members of her school community. It was shared Dec. 5 outside the private Face- book group “Prior Lake Peeps” by administrator Jeff Goldy and member Terri Cecil Schammel, both local progressive activists, a day before the Minnesota-based “Troublemakers Alliance” posted it on the little-seen progressive social media platform “Bluesky,” according to the suit. Critics of Zahn’s post identified her as a Prior Lake teacher and contacted the district to demand her punishment – 22 emails total the first week, “at least 3” nearly identical. On Dec. 6, her principal, Patrick Glynn, told a parental listserv about “concerns” about a social media post “allegedly connected to a staff mem- ber,” invited “questions or concerns” about the school climate, and told parents the district “dean and social worker” would “support any questions or concerns from students.” He sent the same email to school staff, and Su-
“The District had no basis to punish Ms. Zahn, as her speech had no impact on her classroom and did not create a material disruption in the school,” but it “caved to outside pressure” and pun- ished her for the wrong viewpoint, her lawyers at the Upper Midwest Law Center said. UMLC threatened to sue the district Feb. 10 unless it agreed by Feb. 28 to “immediately rescind all disciplinary actions” against Zahn, remove related information from her personnel file, reimburse her for the week- long suspension and “issue a formal public apology” everywhere it men- tioned the incident and orally at the next regular school board meeting. “No reasonable person could possibly believe this meme is not speech on a matter of public concern,” and thus constitutionally protected for public employees, or that it wasn’t related to former Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan’s widely viewed 60 Minutes interview the month before, UMLC said then. UMLC didn’t answer Just the News queries on why it took another six months to sue, but President Doug Seaton told the Minnesota nonprofit
of progressive speech policing for professions from medicine to educa- tion. Last December, a federal appeals court reinstated a First Amendment retaliation lawsuit against a Minneapolis public hospital by Tara Gustilo, who was removed as OB-GYN department chair following her Facebook posts criticizing the Black Lives Matter movement and critical race theory and calling COVID-19 the “China virus” and racial justice protests “riots.” A state judge greenlit most claims against the nationally renowned Mayo Clinic by anesthesiology professor Michael Joyner for suspending and denying him future salary increases because he talked to the media about a disfavored COVID treatment and the inherent athletic advantage of males over females. A jury trial is scheduled for this month. A federal judge allowed ex-professor Erica Lopez Prater’s religious discrimination lawsuit against private Hamline University to proceed, for
perintendent Michael Thomas notified all district staff of the controversy. The district’s human rights officer also encouraged all district staff Dec. 6 to avail themselves of “Responding to Microaggressions” and “Under- standing and Dealing with Racial Trauma” resources, the suit says. About 20 more emails followed over the next two weeks, a mix of sup- port for and criticism of Zahn, and on Dec. 9 district personnel met with a high school student advisory group to tell them about a post by a fourth-grade teacher. Two of those students spoke that night at a school board meeting about Zahn's post. Only one person tied to Zahn’s class, a student’s mother, spoke to the district about her post, on Dec. 10, and said her child “did not know about it and that it had not affected the child’s classroom experience,” the suit says, citing a public records request. The district's broadcast of Zahn’s post bore fruit for weeks on the Red- dit subgroup for Minnesota, with posters calling for Zahn’s firing, labeling her a “Nazi” who deserves punishment “far beyond a firing” and saying the school was “being destroyed right now by the M4L [Moms for Lib- erty], extreme right group.” The district rejected Zahn’s union grievance in January 2025, and she endured “lost time and dignitary harm” from the district “try[ing] to con- vince her to change her political views” in the training required by her discipline letter, according to the suit. Blue In the Face (Continued from Page 3)
2) Do we pray and seek God’s face? And by that I mean, do we have an insa- tiable desire to have a close relationship with our Father, through His Son Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit? Or when we pray, do we just take our “wish list” to “Daddy,” offer up quick, vain, meaningless prayers for ourselves and oth- ers — “telling” God what we want, rather than conversing with Him, drawing near to Him...like a child? I frustrate people when I’m asked to lead corporate prayer, because I don’t pray like most of the “professional Christians” do when they’re on stage. If you ask me to lead group prayer, it’s not going to be what you’re used to. Because most people are used to short, concise, quick “prayers” that sound spiritual but have no depth, and leave no room for any real, personal impact. When I pray, I talk to God, then I listen for His re- sponse. Then I reply and lis- ten some more. I don’t make a speech. It’s a conversation, and I believe that’s how prayer should be. That’s what “seek- ing His face” means. 3). Turn from our wicked ways. Most professing Chris- tians don’t believe they have any wicked ways to turn from. They have an attitude of su- periority over the fallen, lost sinners they encounter on the streets every day. This gets back to the aspect of humility. We all need to humble our- selves every day before Almighty God, grateful for what He’s done for us. But we’ll never get there if we never get honest with our- selves, pray and truly seek His face. Most believe they’re basi- cally “good” people. “Good” Christians. Romans 3:10-12, “There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none that un- derstandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Psalm 14:3, “They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Isaiah 53:6, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Rather than being haughty and smug about our position in Christ, we need to humble ourselves, pray and seek His face, not just acknowledging we’re not “perfect,” but also turning from our wicked
ways. And our prayer should be that of Psalm 139: 23 & 24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Our goal should be Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye trans- formed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and accept- able, and perfect, will of God.” Our world today has mil- lions of man-made laws. We struggle under a burden of rules and regulations, judicial decrees, unjust mandates, federal, state and county laws and local ordinances. Mil- lions of them. But God gave us just ten. Ten simple commands to fol- low. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we even attempted to follow those Ten Commandments? And here’s a challenge for you: if you’re one of those “faithful” church-goers, can you even tell me what those simple Ten Commandments are, without having to look them up? (You’ll find them in Exodus 20). 1) Have no other gods be- fore Yahweh, the one and only true God. 2) Don’t make idols and worship them. 3) Don’t take the Lord’s name in vain. 4) Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. 5) Honor your father and mother. 6) Don’t commit murder. 7) Don’t commit adultery. 8) Don’t steal. 9) Don’t gossip, lie about others or bear false wit- ness. And 10) Don’t covet. In other words, don’t jealously desire what someone else has. Now, I’ve written and spo- ken for years about the im- portance of God’s Ten Commandments until I’ve be- come “blue in the face.” Ten seemingly simple command- ments, yet we’ve all broken all ten of them, if not in deed, at least in our hearts, which is equally damning. The fact that most Christians can’t even name all ten in a row shows how casually we regard our so-called “Christian faith.” We should be ashamed, and this should lead to us hum- bling ourselves, praying and truly seeking God’s face, turn- ing from our wicked ways. Is that what’s happening? Of course not. We smugly re- cite 2 Chronicles 7;14, but have no intention of ever stir- ring the Body of Christ to come up with an action plan which would revive a dying, dead and outright apostate so-called “Church.” Most don’t even have any real in- tention of doing any of this in their own individual lives.
Some problems have very simple solutions, but our hardened hearts have become so selfish and conceited, we’re unwilling to give our Creator even a scrap of reverence, awe and obedience. You want to see our nation blessed? You
know what to do. But I’m not holding my breath. I’m al- ready “blue in the face.” Email: Rob@WisconsinChristianNews.com Phone: (715) 486-8066
Yes, we are saved by grace, by the blood of the Lamb, through humble repentance and faith. But that repentance isn’t a one-time “sinner’s prayer.” That confession is only the beginning of a life- time of sanctification. We’re to be transformed by the re- newing of our minds, yet most of us, even Christians, remain complacent, apa- thetic and conformed to this world. When Moses was old, and knew his days on this earth were drawing to a close, he penned a vital warning to his people, which we find in the book of Deuteronomy. I’ve dissected this area of Scrip- ture more times than I can count. I’ve written about it in depth. I’ve done radio commentaries on it that took multiple broadcasts to get through. I would encourage you all to read that book, and espe- cially chapter 28, and really do your best to soak it all in. Because there’s good news and bad news, and herein lies the answer to all of our nation’s problems. Deuteronomy 28 were some of Moses’ last words of in- struction and warning to his nation, but they apply to all nations of the earth, and es- pecially to the United States and Western countries today. Verse 1, “if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I com- mand thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.” Then comes an extensive list of blessings any nation can and will re- ceive. But these amazing blessings are conditional. To receive them, a nation must observe and do all God’s commandments. Yes, even after we walk the aisle and recite the “sinner’s prayer.” But then comes the bad news. If a nation refuses to honor, obey and follow those commands of God, horrific curses will fall upon those people. As I look around America today, it’s easy to see which path we’ve cho- sen, because those curses are abundant everywhere you turn. We did enjoy the blessings at one time in this nation. Now, having aban- doned God and His com- mands, we’re reaping the curses. Most likely, you won’t hear about this in church. Most likely, your pastor won’t talk like I’m talking to you now.

Wisconsin Christian News Is Reader Supported — Can You Spare $1 a Day to Join the Team?
Have you been blessed by picking up a copy of Wisconsin Christian News from a news rack in a public place? Do you appreciate the hard-hitting, thought provoking commentary, in- spired Bible teaching, and relevant (and truthful) news from around the world? Do you appreciate the fact that we pub- lish the TRUTH — whether it’s “politi- cally correct” or not? Do you like that we stand up for America’s historical Christian heritage, even as we urge a return to the moral, biblical standards that our nation once cherished? Wisconsin Christian News is a coop- erative effort by active Christ-followers from all walks of life. In our pages and on our website, you’ll find Information, Education and Inspiration, with a ma- jority of the articles written by members of our “WCN family” of contributors. WE HAVE SOME OF THE BEST CHRIS- TIAN WRITERS IN THE NATION IN OUR PAGES, FROM ALL OVER THE
COUNTRY — AND WCN IS NOT JUST FOR WISCONSIN! We have subscribers in all fifty states, distribute nationally, and our website is used by people WORLDWIDE! But while we provide valuable content to the Christian community, our real focus is on reaching those who are lost and seeking, or those who have been alienated from “church” as an institu- tion in the past. And especially those who have never heard the Good News of the Gospel of Christ, or have walked away from their faith and have contin- ued searching. The “free” copies you’ll find on the racks in lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, truck stops, bookstores, li- braries, hotels and other public places are our OUTREACH to those who oth- erwise would never get the truth of God’s Word or the truth of what’s really going on in our world today.
paper, however, the revenue from our ads doesn’t come anywhere close to covering the enormous financial needs, which we must raise every month. For several years now, WCN has only been able to continue through the generous financial support of individuals — true Christ-followers who understand and support the ministry work we do. We are nearly 100% Reader Sup- ported now, yet of the thousands of copies we provide out in the public square, far fewer than 1% of those who pick a copy up every month ever send any type of support. This has now be- come unsustainable. Some have suggested we become an “online only” publication. But we hope you understand, if we were to do that, only those who are already Christians and who would go to our website pur- posely, would ever see it. This is why our print edition is VITAL — whereas
Every month, we distribute thousands of copies of Wisconsin Christian News free of charge, made available in public news racks. We also provide compli- mentary copies to jail inmates, shut- ins, and hospital patients. This is our ministry to those who are lost, hurting, confused and seeking the truth. We’ve had wonderful testimonies from people who have come to know the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding and reading our newspaper in a public place. This is our outreach — and it truly is a ministry — our mission. But it costs a great deal of money to do this, and while we constantly receive requests for even MORE copies in these public areas, the costs to produce and distribute our printed newspaper con- tinue to rise every month.
We do have advertisements in the
a Bible tract or book handed to someone could easily be tossed aside, because we’re in newspa- per format, thousands of people pick up WCN each month — of their own freewill, because they want it! What better way to reach the unsaved, than for THEM to choose to pick up our newspaper on their own, be- cause something on our front page caught their attention? Then, eyes are opened and hearts and lives are changed. Very likely, we reach more un- saved souls out in public with God’s Word and truth in a sin- gle month than the average church will reach in its entire existence. This is not “boast- ing,” but rather the simple truth. Thus, we must maintain our print edition . This work is more vital now than ever before. Especially in this age of dis-in- formation and mis-information, political “spin” and radical left- ist “journalism.” But if Wisconsin Christian News is to continue as a print publication, available by sub- scription to Christians, as well as those thousands of free copies we place in public to reach the lost, we NEED YOUR HELP today! Please consider becoming a monthly Supporting Member of our ministry team. While so many readily fund overseas missionaries, THIS is a mis- sion right here in your own backyard, where it’s so des- perately needed. We’re asking for your help, and believe everybody can do something. Can you spare just $1 a day on a regular basis to assure WCN remains in print? Even less — $25 a month on a regular basis — would be a huge help if enough new sup- porters come alongside us. But if you’re truly not able to help fi- nancially, we ask that you please help prayerfully. With- out your help, we will not be able to continue this essential outreach much longer. Please prayerfully consider what YOU can and will do today, to make sure WCN is still there next month. Thank you, and God bless you.

The Salt & Light Brigade
Christianity Is A Contact Sport
By Coach Dave Daubenmire September 2025
would be me and you — US — the world is waiting for CHRISTIANS to show up and do our jobs! Unfortu- nately, that has become the Siren Song of American Christianity. Much of Am e r i c a n Churchianity
One of the major is- sues that we are dealing with in America is the absence of the voice of Christians in the politi- cal and cultural debate.
Although we would all agree that the message of the love of God is important, it is not the entire message. Jesus ex- horted us in Mathew that His followers were to go into all the world and teach them to observe all I have commanded you. The idea that Christianity is a passive — personal only — system of beliefs has given us the cultural sewer that we find our children swimming in today!
lowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for- ever. Amen!” The Lord’s prayer…His wish…is that His kingdom would be expanded over all the earth. He uses humans…bond servants! Christians are the ambassadors of the kingdom of God and it is our job to “Go into all the world… and teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Wake up your Pastor! Shake the eld- ers out of their slumber. It is time for the body of Christ to come out of hiding and engage the enemy. Christianity is a contact sport. has devolved into Self-Help Centers where Christians gather to invoke the “blessings of God” on the selfish de- sires. The “Name it and Claim it” ver- sion of Christianity marketed by celebrity pastors has watered down the saltiness of the truth. Today, many Christians go to Church on Sundays to “get their batteries recharged.” There is no power to “advance God’s kingdom” because everyone is striving to advance their own. Here is a simple question I love to ask my fellow Christian teammates. What have you done today to advance the kingdom of God? It is hard to build God’s Kingdom when our focus is on building our own. Simple question. When was the last time YOUR CHURCH took a PUBLIC stand for Christ outside the four walls? Has your “pastor” taken your church to a school board meeting? City council meeting? A homosex grooming session at the local library? Do your local mayor, city council, school board, or County Commissioners even know your
Jesus said we would be SALT — not sugar.
A quick study will show you the ele- ments of salt. Unfortunately, many in the American Church system have been trained to present the Gospel as sugar. Here are five elements of salt. Ask your- self if the average American Christian is being trained in how to be salt in a poisoned culture. • Salt is a preservative. It keeps things from rotting. Salt came before refriger- ation. • Salt regulates the function of the body. • Salt adds flavor. • Salt heals wounds. • Salt melts ice…and cold hearts. • Salt stings. • Salt kills slugs. That’s just to name a few. Sugar kills. Salt heals. Christians are supposed to be salt! I don’t know what it’s like in your cir- cle of influence, but being accused of being “too judgmental” is the standard response of those who don’t particu- larly like the effects of salt. Jesus didn’t tell us not to judge…quite the opposite. He told us to clear our own eyes so that we could judge righteously. Do you teach your children to judge? Right from wrong? Good from bad? What kind of fool doesn’t judge? You see, we are witnesses…not judges. We testify to the Truth…and let God do the judging. Pointing out sin is witnessing, not judg- ing. Passive Christianity will not carry the day. The Bible teaches that we wrestle, (wrestling is not a passive sport…) against spiritual wickedness in high places. “High” speaks to authority, not physical location. Government, Schools, etc. In fact, the Bible tells us that “All creation groans waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.” That
church exists? Do they care? “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” Can’t the Body of Christ even squeak? America is in flux. The wicked- ness around us is being exposed. Es- pecially in the “Government.” At no time in my life has there been a greater opportu- nity to tear down the kingdom of darkness. Bear with me as I share with you the Lord’s prayer.
