shopping venues. Also planned are more than 950 residential units, 170 condominium units, a luxury hotel and 15 acres of parks and open space. Finally, in more conventional inline leasing activity, Winters recently completed deals with Hand & Stone, GNC, Great Clips and C2 Education for Regency Center’s Plaza Square in Wayne, NJ. In Chester, Fameco has completed a host of deals at Streets at Chester with Country Curtains, Plow & Hearth, and Elements Thera- peutic Massage, among others. In Toms River, Massage Envy, Sport Clips and Scottrade have

signed leases at Crossroads Center, the former Dover Mall, now in the midst of redevelop- ment. Part of its redevelopment plan also calls for a new 18,000 s/f “restaurant row” concept. Activity surrounding this new venue has been brisk. Horne is the leasing agent for this center which is anchored by ShopRite, Staples and Party Fair. In ad- dition to a 3 million s/f leasing portfolio, Fameco’s Woodbridge office also represents a number of national retailers includ- ing Walmart, Sam’s Club, LA Fitness, AutoZone, Staples, Shoe Dept. and Buffalo Wild Wings. n

senior leasing professionals in its Woodbridge office attests, “leasing activity has definitely increased. We’ve been suc- cessful in creating value for landlords and developers in all center types, from big box to grocery anchored, and from convenience oriented strips to free standing parcels.” Hot industry segments like dollar stores and gas and con- venience operations are leading the charge. Winters recently completed three Dollar Tree deals in Mansfield on behalf of Professional Consortium, in Toms River for H. Hovnanian Industries and, working in con- junction with Fameco’s Mike Horne, in Kimco’s Holmdel Town Center in Holmdel. Gas and convenience stores, such as Wawa continue to make inroads into the central and northern New Jersey market- place. In Woodbridge, Winters secured a 1.5 acre ground lease for Wawa. Likewise, in Eliza- beth, Winters was successful in securing a 1.5 acre purchase opportunity for Wawa and its preferred developer at the sig- nalized intersection of Rtes. 1/9 and Fairmount Avenue. New developments are seeing resurgence, as well. Winters and Fameco partner Jeffrey Co- hen are spearheading the retail leasing efforts at two of north- ern New Jersey’s largest mixed use development projects. The first is Teterboro Landing, a high profile mixed use develop- ment including +/- 425,000 s/f of retail space, located across from the Teterboro Airport. The expectation is that Fameco and developer Catellus will announce the center’s anchors over the next six months. Also in northern NJ, Winters and Cohen were recently hired as exclusive leasing representa- tives for SkyMark Center in Ridgefield Park. SkyMark will be the largest mixed use de- velopment Bergen County has experienced in 30 years. The retail component could feature 900,000 s/f of space dedicated to entertainment, restaurant, and
