Talli Emirati traditional handicraft used in embroidery “Talli” is a significant traditional handicraft in Emirati culture, producing embroidered textiles adorned with bright colors and intricate designs. This craft features threads of shiny golden or silver (known as zari), used to embellish various types of women’s clothing. Talli holds a prominent place in Emirati cultural heritage as one of the oldest and most aesthetically prized embroidery crafts in the UAE. Historically, women engaged in the Talli industry within their homes or during communal gatherings with friends and neighbors. Initially, it was a cottage industry without formal marketplaces or shops. Over time, as life evolved, Talli production expanded into women’s sewing shops. Today, this craft is showcased in exhibitions, heritage associations, and cultural festivals, where skilled craftswomen demonstrate their expertise in Talli embroidery.
التيل حرفة يدوية تقليدية إماراتية تنتج منسوجات مطرزة يعتبر “التلي” مـن الحـرف اليدويـة التقليديـة النسـائية املهمـة، وأحـد مكونـات التراث الثقـايف اإلمـارايت، ويتميـز التيل بألوانـه الزاهية وتصاميمـه الجميلة، فهو عبـارة عـن خيـوط من الـزري الالمع، ويُسـتخدم يف تزيني أنواع مختلفـة من املالبس النسـائية، وصناعـة التلي واحـدة مـن أعـرق وأقـدم الصناعـات التطريزيـة الجامليـة يف اإلمـارات، وكانـت النسـاء تعمـل على صناعـة التلي يف مختلـف األوقات سـواء يف البيـت، أو يف جلسـات الضُحـى مـع الصديقات والجـارات، فهي صناعة مارسـتها وتداولتهـا النسـاء يف البيـوت اإلماراتيـة، حيـث مل يكـن لهـا سـوق أو محـال، ومـع تطـور الحيـاة انتشرت صناعـة التلي يف محلات الخياطـة النسـائية، وتعـرض هـذه الحرفـة حاليـا يف املعـارض والجمعيـات الرتاثيـة واملؤسسـات املعنيـة بالتراث واملهرجانـات الرتاثيـة والثقافيـة مـن قبـل الحرفيـات املتخصصـات يف حرفـة التلي يف تلـك الجهـات.
