Majlises in the UAE are a historical continuation of the gatherings known to Arabs since ancient times, maintaining their roles through the ages. They serve as authentic media centers to understand people’s conditions, playing a crucial role in fostering cohesion among diverse members of society and connecting rulers with their people. The majlis holds a significant place in Emirati cultural heritage, considered an integral part of Emirati homes. Its content and functions make it a vital cultural and social meeting space for Emirati families across all levels, from individual households to the wider community. The majlis is a cornerstone of Emirati social structures, fulfilling important cultural and social roles. It stands as a living tradition that Emirati rulers and society members are committed to preserving, serving as a bridge for communication, dialogue, and the development of social relationships. Majlises are integral to the social fabric of the UAE, embodying traditions of solidarity, communication, hospitality, and generosity among its people.
تُعـد املجالـس يف اإلمارات امتـدادا تاريخيا للمجالس التي عرفهـا العرب مُنذ القدم وواصلـت أدوارهـا ع بر العصـور، ولقـد لعبـت املجالـس يف اإلمـارات دورا كبيراً، حيث تُعـد مركـزا إعالميـا صادقـا ملعرفـة أحـوال النـاس، ك ما كانت مـن أهم الوسـائل التي تدعـم التالحـم ب ين مختلـف أفراد املجتمـع، والتي تقرب ب ين الحاكم وشـعبه. ويحتل املجلـس اإلمـارايت مكانـة مهمـة يف املوروث الثقـايف اإلمـارايت، إذ يُعترب بكيانه جـزءا مـن البيـت اإلمـارايت ويعـد مبضمونـه وأدواره ملتقـى ثقافيـا اجتامعيـا مهام ألفـراد العائلـة اإلماراتيـة مبختلـف تراتبيتهـا، ابتـداء مـن األرسة الصغيرة وانتهـاء باملجتمـع. ويُعـد املجلـس واحـدا مـن أهم الصروح االجتامعيـة التي تقـوم بوظائف ثقافيـة واجتامعيـة، وهـو تقليـد حي حرص الحـكام وأفـراد املجتمع اإلمـارايت عىل اسـتمراريته واملحافظـة على دوره بوصفه جسرا للتواصـل والحوار وبنـاء العالقات االجتامعية.
