LIMITED WARRANTY COVERED PRODUCTS
Service Champ LLC (“Service Champ”) warrants its Service Champ brand automotive filters (“Filters”) to be free from defects in material, workmanship, or design during the Warranty Period, as defined below. Filters are manufactured to high quality standards in accordance with Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) test procedures to meet fit, form, and function for intended applications. The “Warranty Period” is the service interval for filter replacements as recommended by the manufacturer of the engine or equipment. Service intervals can often be found in your owner’s vehicle manual. Service Champ will replace, free of charge, any Filter which, under normal conditions of use, is proven to be defective in material or workmanship and is within the Warranty Period. If Service Champ determines, in its sole discretion, that the alleged defective Filter caused engine damage during the Warranty Period, Service Champ will also repair, replace, or reimburse reasonable costs of parts and labor of damaged engine parts to the extent the damage is solely attributable to the defective Filter. WARRANTY SERVICE Service Champ’s claims management process must be followed to obtain warranty service. Within thirty (30) days following the discovery of alleged defect or damage, you must submit a claim to any Service Champ sales or customer service representative. Service Champ reserves the right to examine the Filter, engine, and related equipment to determine the amount of damage and whether it was caused by a defective Filter. Service Champ also reserves the right to review applicable service records, installation records, and receipts. EXCLUSIONS This Limited Warranty DOES NOT COVER: • Damage or failure caused by misapplication, misuse, improper installation, previous engine issues, normal wear and tear, rust or corrosion, negligence, modification, use of unauthorized parts, accidents or abuse;
• Filters submitted in a condition that prohibits reasonable testing and evaluation; • Use of a Filter on an incorrect, non-approved, or non-recommended application; • Use of a Filter in excessively severe conditions;
• Use of motor oil other than the viscosity and type as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer or as stated in the owner’s vehicle manual; • Costs, fees, expenses, or damages not directly attributable to the defective filter or not specifically provided for in this Limited Warranty.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS INTENDED TO AND WILL BE YOUR ONLY RECOVERY AGAINST SERVICE CHAMP. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, SERVICE CHAMP DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS AND ANY AND ALL CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL AND SPECIAL DAMAGES. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow limitations or exclusions on warranties or certain damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
