These stretches can include a myofascial release in which your physical therapist will use a tapping or stroking technique on the sinus cavities on your forehead to remove excess fluid. Other treatment options include an accelerated recovery performance machine (ARP) . This device is an electrical stimulation used on your sinus cavities to help stimulate them and remove excess fluid. After use, you will breathe a lot better without congestion or pressure on your head. Additionally, your physical therapist can use Kinesio tape on the back of your neck to reduce pain and inflammation. While there are several at-home treatments you can try, such as using a neti pot or saline wash, nasal decongestant spray, hot compacts, and other remedies, sometimes sinus headaches and other headaches are difficult to treat.
