November Newsletter
Greetings Brothers,
As we moved into November, the Nashville (TN) Alumni Chapter continued to embody strength, unity, and service. This month, Brothers proudly participated in the Veterans Day Parade, supported families through our annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive, celebrated the launch of the Kappa League’s new social media page, championed Kappa League Giving Tuesday efforts, and contributed to the Senior Brothers’ canned food drive donation. Each initiative reflects our commitment to impact and the momentum leading us toward our Centennial Celebration in 2026.
Nashville’s Veterans Day Parade
Members of the chapter proudly participated in Nashville’s Annual Veterans Day Parade, honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation. This year’s involvement was led by Brother Carey Birdine, whose dedication and coordination ensured a strong showing from the chapter. His leadership helped us continue this meaningful tradition of service and visibility within the Nashville community.
Annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive
The Nashville (TN) Alumni Chapter hosted its annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive, continuing our long-standing tradition of supporting families during the holiday season. Brothers from the Alpha Theta Chapter joined in, strengthening the bond between undergraduate and alumni membership as we served the community together. Our Kappa Leaguers also played a meaningful role, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to service that reflects the mission of Guide Right.
Kappa League’s
The Nashville Kappa League had a productive and impactful month of November. At our November 8 meeting, Kappa Leaguers engaged in meaningful small-group discussions on overcoming failure, developing resilience, and learning practical strategies for navigating setbacks. Each session followed our consistent structure, featuring Kappa League TV, fraternity history, and our closing team-building chant to promote unity and discipline.
Kappa Leaguers also played a major role in the annual Thanksgiving Basket Outreach on November 22, partnering with chapter members to assemble and distribute full holiday meals to 75 families in the Cheatham Place and Andrew Jackson communities. Their commitment to service made the event a tremendous success. This month, we also launched new Nashville Kappa League social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, and we encourage all Brothers to follow and share. Fundraising efforts for Giving Tuesday are underway, with parents and members helping spread the word, and the program is exploring additional fundraising opportunities, including concessions at Bridgestone Arena.
SENIOR BROTHERS
Our Senior Brothers also participated in The Temple Church’s annual food drive, making a significant contribution that helped support families throughout the community. Their generosity and commitment to service continue to exemplify the true spirit of our chapter. As well as hosted a Senior Bothers Breakfast at Chicago Chicken and Waffles.
