BIFA Awards 2022 now open for entries

Specialist Services Award sponsor to be confirmed

The services offered by a modern freight forwarder extend far beyond

the provision of basic transportation and documentation. This category is for value-added services that enhance the customer experience enabling them to concentrate on their core business. Such services need not be modal specific and could include warehousing, pick and pack, technology service, air or shipping line agency, or express services. Staff Development Award sponsored by Albacore Systems BIFA Members, whatever their size, need comprehensive training programmes to keep abreast of regular changes in regulations, industry practices and general business matters. In this category, the judges want to understand how you encourage and develop all personnel to ‘be their best’ and contribute to the success and direction of your business.

Launched in June, the 34th annual BIFA Freight Service Awards are now open for entry. Entries are invited from all BIFA full Members for the 11 categories encompassing modal freight services, additional services, specialist cargo handling and projects, and staff development both from a company and individual employee perspective. Full details of the categories and entry procedures can be found at www.bifa.org/awards . In short, a BIFA member may enter a maximum of three categories from the Modal, Specialist and General Awards with additional entries to the Individual Awards. Entry is free and requires only the completion of a simple entry form detailing a relevant case study or service provision. The deadline for the receipt of entries is 11am on Thursday, 6 October 2022. Once again, BIFA welcomes the support of the category sponsors who give their time during the judging process to ensure that the BIFA Awards are truly impartial.
