Tassal serves up breakfast to local communities.

In the year 2023, we have proudly provided breakfast to over 1000 children across eight different regional schools in Tasmania. The Tassal Community Foundation remains dedicated to its mission to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

The Tassal Community Foundation is proud to provide ongoing support to local communities through impactful initiatives. The school breakfast program was launched in 2022 to address a critical issue facing many children in the areas where Tassal operates. Tassal ESG and Communities Manager Gemma Gwilliams said providing support to the younger generation in our areas of operation is so important to the team at Tassal. “When reaching out to local schools to understand the best way Tassal could offer support, the common theme we were faced with was the concern over how many children head to school without the essential meal of breakfast. “This unfortunate reality can significantly affect the children’s learning abilities and overall well-being. At Tassal, we believe in bridging the gap and helping where its most needed as we strive to sustainably feed tomorrow,” she said. A big focus of our community engagement is having our regional employees involved in what we do in the community. They participate in the cooking and serving of the breakfast, which is an essential part of making the breakfast program a success.
