T o be honest, the thought of so I thought, "Why not give it a shot?" I was a bit nervous and as I anxiously checked my watch, it looked like I might have been stood up. But then, about 15 minutes late, Paul rushed in, red-faced and full of apologies. He’d been sprinting to try to make it in time and managed to catch me just before I left. I couldn’t help but smile and forgive him. We didn't end up playing much table tennis that night, but we got along really well. After that first date, Paul texted me, asking for another. In the world of online dating, where sometimes you get just one date, and then you're ghosted, Paul's eagerness to see me again was refreshing. Love grows With me living in Woodford Green, Essex, and Paul in Surrey, about an hour and a half away, we had most of our early dates in London, a convenient middle ground for both of us. Our relationship felt a bit "long-distance" in the beginning, as we saw each other once a week. But as our feelings grew, we began to spend more time together. By Christmas I knew I was falling for this incredible man. Paul felt the same, but it took him until the following March, during a holiday in Tenerife, to finally confess his love.
