REAL WEDDING

excited. Finally, we were in a position to tie the knot! Sadly, as we started planning our big day, Covid struck. We managed to get into the house we were buying, but as for the wedding, we put it off yet again as everyone’s events were being cancelled, but once Covid restrictions eased we started planning again in earnest.

Samantha and Elizabeth. I remember us watching Family Guy with them like the two awkward teenagers we were! Later, I met David’s parents Grace and Eric, his sister Miriam and brother Aaron, who were lovely. By the time we reached 18 David just sort of moved in with my family. Though we were young David told anyone who would listen that he was going to marry me one day - they thought it was the funniest thing in the world. I’m sure many people thought our love would fade over time, but I knew deep down that I had found my soulmate. Proposal number one! We chose August 5th, 2023, as our date and I chose my two sisters Elizabeth and Samantha, David’s sister Miriam and my best friend Emily as my bridesmaids. Poppy and Penelope were my flower girls, while our daughter Tiannah was thrilled to be my maid of honour. David chose his friend James as best man, brother- in-law Colin, brother Aaron, Cousin Paul, our nephew Zac and Zayne, Ammi’s best friend, as groomsmen while Elijah would be the ring bearer. David’s next priority was booking fireworks. He loves them and this important detail even came before finding my dress which I did quite quickly at wed2be in Milton Keynes. I love fishtail designs, but when I tried one on it didn’t look right on me. I opted instead for a lace bodice with a satin skirt and a beautiful train. I chose sage green for the bridesmaid’s
