The Rockland Nationals were looking to steal a road win in Carleton Place, two nights after the Nats secured a 4-1 victory over the visiting Canadians. But it seems as though the Canadians were ready to welcome Rockland into their home, earning some payback from the previ- ous night’s loss. The Nats and the Canadians split the two-game series last week, with Rockland taking game one with a 4-1 win at home on Friday, Dec. 6. Gabriel Le Houillier (his 15th and 16th goals of the 2024-2025 Central Canada Hockey League campaign) and Danel Myloserdnyy (his 10th and 11th of the season) each had two goals in the Nats’ victory. The Canadians answered back two nights later when the Nats came to town, this time shutting out the league’s second- highest-scoring team by a 4-0 margin. It was Rockland’s fifth regulation loss of the season and sixth overall. Busy on the trade front The Nats acquired Joshua Penney from the Renfrew Wolves in a multi-player trade involving Mathieu Fillion, Toby Almstedt,
