Conduct a scenario-based training exercise, related to Emergency Operations Plan and Disaster Operations Plan for the Town. Assist Wake County Emergency Management with updating list of local hazardous materials sites. Continue Pre-Fire Incident Plan program for all commercial facilities within the Town limits. Address securing and cleaning up affected hazardous areas when revising Disaster Operations Plan. Continue to evaluate and improve response and recovery methods following each hazard event.

Maintain floodplain maps for public use and produce other maps as needed. Develop and maintain a hazard mitigation section on the Town website that is updated every 5 years as the plan is updated. Collect educational materials on disaster preparedness and display at public library and local government offices. Educate public on importance of channel maintenance as part of Phase II Stormwater Management Plan. Work with local real estate agents to ensure that potential buyers are aware of properties that are exposed to potential flood damage. Require delineation of Wake County Flood Hazard Soils, FEMA flood zones, and wetlands on final plats.
