Gymnastics: Tumbling • AGES 6-13 Tumbling develops coordination, strength, balance and self-confidence. Level 1 is for children who are new to tumbling. Form and positions will be taught at this level in addition to forward and backward roll, straddle roll, dive roll, lunge to handstand, cartwheel and bridge. Class is commonly repeated before the instructor recommends moving up to Tumbling 2. Tumbling 2 students will learn handstand forward roll, front limber, back walkover and round off. Instructors reserve the right to move students to appropriate levels. We know it’s important to keep this age group engaged so we will introduce a new team sport every 2 weeks. Hi-Five Multi-Sport serves as an introduction to some of the most popular sports in the world including football, soccer, basketball, and more! Children learn the fundamentals of each game through various drills and training elements designed specifically for young players. While this program focuses on player development and the overall understanding of each sport, it also stresses FUN for the entire 50-minute class session. Hi- Five’s ultimate goal is to help each child build strong physical, intellectual and emotional foundations that will help them succeed on and off of the field! Ice Skating: All Seasons • AGES 2 1/2-13 Ice skating is an exhilarating activity that also is an excellent form of exercise and fun for all ages. Kids in particular can benefit from the sport of skating by learning balance, skill and self-confidence. Please arrive approximately 30 minutes early on the first day to sign a waiver and have skates fitted properly. All skaters are required to become members of Learn to Skate USA which includes a $16 annual fee. Rental skates are available for $28 for the eight-week program. Ice Skating: Rocket Ice • AGES 4-14 The goal at Rocket Ice Arena is to provide a fun and safe environment for skaters to learn to skate and to be able to continue on in hockey or figure skating. From tot and up, lessons are presented in concise levels with each one focusing on skills that will serve as building blocks for future levels. After demonstrating mastery in one level, the student skater may proceed to the next. The curriculum works in conjunction with USFS Basic Skills Program that is taught in quality rinks worldwide. Please wear athletic pants and fleece jacket or similar fitted and warm jacket and bring gloves. Helmets are recommended. We have skates available to rent.
