Kids First Flag Football Fundamentals • AGES 6-14 This football program teaches player position fundamentals preparing participants to play flag and tackle football. Football has twenty-two positions excluding special teams players that takes time to learn and understand their purpose. This program allows players to learn at a slower pace with a more in-depth understanding of how to play each position. Games will be played starting the third session. General rules are introduced including safety and fundamentals, and then the game is played. Choices may include baseball/softball, soccer, flag football, T-ball/Blast ball, kickball, dodgeball and balloon ball. This program challenges all players through fun, competitive drills and games that maximize player potential. Taught by Kids First Sports Safety, Inc. staff. Players should bring their glove and water bottle. Kids First Speed Training • AGES 6-13 Learn all about the timed events that make up the sport of track and field. Coaches teach sprints, hurdles, jumps, distance running and throws in a safe and fundamental way. The program consists of body balance techniques using speed, quickness and agility drills. Learn new techniques and strengthen existing skills. There is a mini-meet on the final day. Conducted by coaches from Kids First Sports Safety, Inc. Certified coaches prepare players to play, enjoy and be successful. Learn basic rules, how to throw and score points offensively and how to protect the goal defensively. Parents are invited to the championship match at the end of the last day. In case of rainout, time will be added equally to remaining sessions. Taught by Kids First Sports Safety, Inc. staff.
