Softball: Girls Coach Pitch • GRADES 1 Coach Pitch is a transitional softball program where coaches pitch to their own players to encourage good hitting skills and fielding positions are rotated often. This program is designed for those CURRENTLY in first grade. Players improve their throwing, fielding, batting, base-running and experience teamwork and sportsmanship. Practice locations are listed below and begin the week of May 13. Games will take place once each week on Thursday or Friday on assigned fields. Games start the week of May 27 and run until July 19. Two adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team. Softball: Girls Coach Pitch/Machine Pitch • GRADES 2 Coach Pitch/Machine Pitch is a transitional softball program where coaches pitch to their own players to encourage good hitting skills and fielding positions are rotated often. This is designed for those CURRENTLY in second grade. Building on skills learned in first grade and adding a pitching machine to better prepare them for the next level. Players improve their throwing, fielding, batting, base-running and experience teamwork and sportsmanship. Practices are listed below beginning the week of May 13. Games will take place once each week on Thursday or Friday on assigned fields. Games start the week of May 27 and run until July 19. Two adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team.
