Any Member can contact them for assistance with budgeting, buying a car, buying a home, or preparing for retirement – really, anything to do with money. They are super terrific at what they do and they are completely free to all Frontwave Credit Union Members!! VA Loans? Yup! We got ‘em! We launched our new VA Loan program late last year to better serve our nation’s Veterans. Thank you so much for your service!! You know what else we got? Solar loans! If you’ve been to our headquarters building in Oceanside you know that we believe in solar – we got panels covering almost the whole parking lot. Have you been thinking about solar? This is the last year you can take advantage of the full 30% tax credit – the tax credit starts shrinking next year… Just like failing to maximize the employer match on your retirement plan, throwing away money is never a good thing. Bill Birnie, President/CEO Nothing is more important to a family’s financial welfare and stability than a commitment to savings. Squirreling away a little money each month for emergencies and preparing for retirement. Start small and as your income grows, so should your savings. Time is your best friend. The earlier you start and the longer you practice regular savings, the much bigger your stash is going to be. If your employer offers a retirement plan such as a 401K or the new military blended retirement system, you should (at a minimum) be putting enough into the plan to maximize the employer match – unfortunately, many people don’t. To encourage and support a habit of regular savings, Frontwave Credit Union participates in the America and Military Saves programs. Under these programs we offer Savers Certificates at rates that are well above market. Members can deposit up to $500 into their Savers Certificate each month for one year. The program is available all year. But in March, we put it on steroids and really beef up the rate! This March we had over 2,972 Members participate and, in their first month, saved $1,410,056!!
