Career Readiness: Mock Interviews Tuesday, February 24 from 5:30-7:30 PM
Library leaders, county and community officials recently joined caregivers and children at a boisterous ribbon-cutting at the expanded Discoveries: The Library at the Mall location housed in the Annapolis Mall. There, attendees enjoyed treats, a storytime and a dance party in the bright new event space. “Discoveries represents the future of public libraries,” said Skip Auld, CEO of Anne Arundel County Public Library. “This expansion is about more than square footage—it’s about creating a welcoming, dynamic space where people of all ages can imagine, explore and build a better future together.”

This latest expansion adds 3,200 square feet and includes a larger room for programs, an improved children’s area known as the Discovery Dock, a new space for middle-grade readers, an expanded collection for all ages and a shared workspace with desktop computers for customers seeking a quieter environment. The expansion was funded by Anne Arundel County and community donors.
