D espite the recent challenges new jobs, secured new contracts and with a fresh new brand, the new owners are looking forward to a bright future for this successful independent firm whose roots date back to 1963. This period has also seen the company undergo a management buy- out with the five new Directors forming the new McAdam Senior Management Team. experienced within the construction industry, McAdam has created 15

John leads the Project Management team delivering a range of services such as roject controls and procedures; Delivery of best practice and corporate governance; Client and stakeholder management; Delivery of ICT services; Management and control of commercial and contractual matters; Procurement and selection of project deliver teams. Using his commercial acumen to good effect, John also acts as Financial Director for the company.

Neal joined McAdam in 2018 as a Technical Director after 20 years working within the construction industry in Northern Ireland and abroad. He has a
strong background in delivery of water and wastewater projects and programmes with a particular interest in using procurement, and effective risk, contract and cost administration processes to improve project delivery and reduce risks for clients. He achieved Chartered Engineer status in 2004 with the IEI. An NEC3 and NEC4 Accredited Project Manager with mediation training, he brings a strong contractual and commercial influence to the business. Neal is McAdam’s IMS and Marketing Director and also leads some of McAdam’s Water, and Engineering Design Build teams.

Engineering Lead Fergus has worked for McAdam since he joined as a graduate in 1994. For most of his career he has worked in the Water Sector. He achieved Chartered Engineer status in 2000 with the ICE and has been an active member of various institutions throughout his career. He has served on a number of Institution Committees including becoming chair of the Northern Ireland branch of CIWEM in 2012. He is currently a committee member for the Association of Consulting Engineers. He was appointed to the Board of Directors for McAdam in 2012 with responsibility for all Water Engineering Projects. “…with a fresh new brand, the newowners are looking forward to a bright future.”
Project Manager he has helped establish the practice as one of the leading design consultancies in Northern Ireland across a wide range of sectors. ]Martin is passionate about delivering high quality buildings founded on proven best value and sustainable design principles, which are evidenced in his portfolio of award-winning projects. Although experienced in all areas of McAdam’s Architectural work he has particular expertise in both the Education and Leisure Sectors in which he has completed many of Northern Irelands most recognisable buildings in these sectors.
Stephen Harding, MEng (Hons) CEng MICE Environmental Director Stephen has nearly 20 years working within the construction industry, achieving Chartered Engineer status in 2004 with the ICE. He has gained significant
experience in the Civil Infrastructure and the Water Sectors working for major public sector clients in Northern Ireland, GB, Ireland and Australia. He has responsibility for the Civil Infrastructure part of the business and support of their major Architectural projects. He also assists Fergus and Neal in their Water Sector work focusing on Strategic studies and Innovation projects. Stephen joined McAdam in 2018 as a Technical Director and was appointed to the Board of Directors for McAdam in 2020.
John Findlay, BSc (Hons) FRICS APMP NECReg MIoD Project Management Lead John has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry and joined McAdam in 2012 as
a Board Director. He has worked across UK and Ireland in a variety of sectors
