Welcome

Welcome, It is my pleasure to invite you to the NDRA Red Select Sale as we proudly celebrate our 61st year as an associa- tion. Over six decades of dedication, growth and collaboration have built a strong foundation for Red Angus breeders across the region. It is truly an exciting time to be involved in the cattle industry – particularly in raising Red Angus. The demand for high-performing, reliable genetics continues to rise, and this year’s offering reflects the strength, consistency and integrity of our breeders and their programs.

This year, we are especially pleased to welcome Logan Hoffmann as our new sale manager. Logan brings en- thusiasm, experience and a deep commitment to quality cattle, and we look forward to his influence in continuing the NDRAA’s proud tradition of excellence. A big thank you to Tracey Koester and Kacey Jacobson of Cow Camp Promotions for their exceptional work putting this catalog together. Their dedication and eye for detail make this book as impressive as the cattle it features. We invite you to join us December 12 and 13 in Bismarck/Mandan for a weekend of exceptional cattle, conversation, and celebration as we mark our 61st anniversary. Thank you for your continued support of the NDRAA and the Red Angus breed.

Bryan Ressler, NDRAA President

Greetings, On behalf of the consignors and myself, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2025 North Dakota Red Angus Association’s Red Select Sale! This list of consignors has been a pleasure to work with when it came to putting together this offering, which is impressive from the beginning to end. The programs represented in this catalog are some of the nation’s leading Red Angus breeders, and they are offering from the front end of their herd.

New this year, the ND Red Angus Association will have their sale at 1 p.m. CST, on their own date. The weekend will be still be presented together at Kist Livestock with the ND Simmental Association. It is a pleasure for both associations to work together and make a great weekend of the event. The demand for Red Angus cattle has never been higher, and the positive outlook on the industry has never been so great. With times like these, now is a great opportunity to invest in genetics that will put forth your program for the future. The females offered in this sale have potential to produce front-end bulls and females for every operation. The genetic opportunities presented are some of the rarest, most-sought-after genetics the breed has to offer. Don’t be afraid to take a close look at the entire offering. The sale will again broadcast on DVAuction, and videos will be posted prior to the sale. Any updates can be found there, or on of the ND Red Angus website – ndredangus.org. I would like to extend to sincere Thank You to the ND Red Angus Association for the opportunity to work with them on this sale, and to the consignors for trusting in the event. If you have any questions on the offering, please feel free to reach out, I would be happy to assist however I can. See you in Mandan on Dec 13th.

Thank you, Logan Hoffmann

Lot 1

1 WSM SO COOL 5027 BIRTH DATE REG. # CATEGORY:

On behalf of Wasem Red Angus, we are honored to present the donation heifer for the 2025 ND Red Select Sale. Having been involved with and serving on the Board of Directors of the NDRAA, we understand how important it is for our association to grow and succeed. The heifer donation program has been a great asset for our organization to do such that. We selected a heifer that truly exhibits where we came from and where we are going. 5027’s dam stems back to one of our first registered cows we purchased in the Messmer dispersal in the fall of 2008. Fast forward a few generations; we bred her dam to a bull we raised and sold in our 2022 production sale to ABS Global and made what we have to offer as a dona- tion heifer. She has some eye appeal and is dark red just like we all like them and carries both a feminine and maternal look. Her sire is known to put some stretch and a big middle and performance in his offspring just as she presents as well. Her young Went Yard 0700 dam carries herself well on her great set of feet. Her udder quality is on point as well and brought this one in at 687 lbs. Here is your chance to buy some tickets to help support the future of the NDRAA and a chance to move your program forward with an outstanding female.

Genetic Opportunity Selling choice of two frozen embryo pkgs of 4 IVF embryos (plus 1 at no extra charge for the guarantee). Here is a phenomenal frozen package of truly genuine goodness for the Red Angus world to share in! Renee 44F is the anchor and head flush cow of the IFFG syndicate of 10 breeder’s from around the globe. She has been very steady in her natural calf production and also shows off her fertility through our embryo division. She herself was a $13,500 purchase in the mighty RRUP 50th Anniversary Sale in 2022. Her most notable calves have been the $30,000 BCC OTM Resolution bull. Also a couple dtrs that sold thru RRUP in 2021 at $15,000, and another topped the OTM dispersal in June in Oregon for $8,500.

Another was a heifer owned and shown by Brandl’s that tore up every showring and backdrop she was at last fall as a calf! The two sires listed here are arguably two of the HOTTEST bulls going right now. Moon PIE was a $95,000 yearling and his progeny have topped every sale they were in thus far (Cockburn-SSS-Rohrich). His last semen to sell demanded $4,200 per straw! Relentless – Pretty hard to come by any of his actual semen – maybe this set of embryos are the next best bet! Stored at Hawkeye East in Adel, IA (515-993-4711). Call Bryan Mackenzie at 403-627-8266 for more information.

Lot 14 Flush Opportunity – TKP Tilly 928 - PVF and Kirwan Red Angus are excited to once again open the tank on one of the most elite females in our joint donor battery. TKP Tilly 928 was a feature and high-selling female in the 2023 Pieper Red Angus Fall Sale and has quickly risen to the top as a cornerstone donor within both programs. A direct daughter of the legendary Bieber Tilly 399W, Tilly 928 stems from one of the most powerful and proven maternal cow families in the Red Angus breed. The 399W legacy has produced breed changers such as Bieber Rollin Deep, PIE Hashtag, PIE Insight and multiple high-selling progeny across the country. Phenotypically, Tilly 928 is the definition of balance and brood-cow quality – deep- ribbed, long-spined, square-hipped and beautifully feminine through her front one-third. Her first heifer calf, sired by the $400,000 PIE Hollywood, continues to validate her as a true producer, ranking among the most admired Hollywood daughters in existence. This spring, we’re offering the rare opportunity to flush
