Junior Opportunities

NDJRAA Heifer Grant • $1,000 grant toward the purchase of a heifer in the ND Red Select Sale • NDJRAA members are eligible • Must be present at sale 1. Applicant must be a ND Junior Red Angus Association member to be eligible for this grant. If you are not a current member of the ND Junior Red Angus Association, you may join by enclosing your annual membership dues of $35 and a completed ND Junior Red Angus Association membership form. Dues are payable to the ND Junior Red Angus Association. 2. Age: Must be at least 8 years old and not have turned 21 years old by date of the ND Red Select Sale. 3. Must be able to provide the remaining purchase price of the heifer immediately after the sale. 4. Only animals purchased from the ND Red Select Sale are eligible for grant money. 5. Embryos do not qualify for the ND Red Angus Association heifer grant. 6. Grant money will be paid directly to Kist Livestock on behalf of the grant recipient.

NDJRAA Junior Incentive program • Various sale credits awarded for show success for a heifer purchased at the ND Red Select Sale • Heifer must be transferred to NDJRAA member • NDJRAA members are eligible 1. Open heifer must be purchased at the ND Red Select Sale. Registered 1A or 1B heifers qualify to show. Sale credit applies to the show season immediately following the sale. Example if the heifer is purchased in the December 2025 sale, the show season would be the summer of 2026. 2. The Junior member must register the heifer in their own junior membership with the Red Angus Association of America. 3. Junior member must be a member of the ND Junior Red Angus Association. 4. Junior member will receive sale credit for placing or winning in the levels listed below. 5. Sale credit must be used at the next ND Red Select Sale. If not used that year the sale credit will be voided.

6. To receive sale credit the junior must provide a picture (advertising quality) and a signed statement from a ND Junior Red Angus Association Advisor or ND Jr Points Association Advisor Level or from your local county Extension agent/Chapter FFA Advisor for the local County Fair Level by November 1 of current year.
