LOWER SCHOOL: A COMMUNITY OF THINKERS

Welcome to the Lower School, a community of thinkers and learners! Rich learning experiences presented in a supportive and nurturing environment allow our youngest students to grow and thrive. Together, our teachers and students build a school-wide culture of thinking, learning and caring. Through academic studies, STEAM experiences, fine arts, athletics and more, Lower School students explore, investigate and connect, setting the tone for their learning journey at NBPS.

This year we can look forward to autumn-inspired fun at the Fall Harvest Hoedown, as well as some inspired thinking with art and technology experiences at Arts and Innovation Night. In addition to these LS events, our students and families are also invited to join a number of school-wide events like War of the Wings and the Homecoming Tailgate Party! Jump Rope for Heart In support of heart health and the American Heart Association, the NBPS Lower School takes part in an annual Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser. With a long-standing tradition of service at NBPS, our school has been ranked as the No. 1 fundraising school in Florida for the past three years and as one of the top three fundraising schools in the entire nation! Through their PE classes, students learn about heart health and fitness, while learning various jump roping and exercise skills to increase their cardio fitness level and

Good news! All LS student supplies are provided by NBPS, so you don’t have to go school supply shopping! Classrooms will be fully stocked with supplies when students report for the first day of school in August. Monthly Assemblies Lower School assemblies provide students, faculty and parents the opportunity to recognize achievements and spend time together as a community. Assemblies include grade and group performances (and they are a joy to experience). LS assemblies are typically held during the last week of the month in September, October, December, February, April and May. The October assembly is always held on Halloween and begins with the annual parade of costumes. The December assemblies include Fine Arts winter concert performances. Family Fun Nights Co-hosted by the Lower School and the PSTA, Family Fun Nights are a great way to get out of the house and spend

Every winter and spring, the Lower School Fine Arts Team presents music and dance concerts to showcase the growth, creativity and musicality of our student groups.
