Melaka state need to continuously communicate to all stakeholders and communities on the Smart Melaka initiatives. An effective communication plan will ensure that Melaka state shares this blueprint. Next is the establishment of Smart Melaka Implementation Committee and Project Evaluation Committee for projects implementation to be followed by project monitoring and reviewing committee. The 22 quick win projects to be implemented within the first year at designated pilot sites will be the physical manifestation of the state aspiration, the catalyst and mark the first milestone from planning to implementation of the 15-year journey. These quick win projects provide momentum and confidence of all stakeholders to tap into the capital market and attract new investors and venture capitalists. Melaka will proactively develop high-tech SME Industry Cluster as the backbone of its venture into the digital economy. Investing into smart and advanced technologies must be prioritized by the Melaka state government to address the gaps of urbanization in the horizon and transform Melaka into a vibrant interconnected space which operates at optimum efficiency. The Market driven R&D&C Park is an innovation platform for product development. The innovation platform is developed from the restructured and repurpose of current Technology parks and Multimedia Super Corridor. The platform will be the birthplace to nurture, mentor, and network constellation of stars for targeted High Technology SME Clusters. Melaka can leverage its strategic location between Singapore and Klang Valley, two commercial and financial centres, to foster collaboration and coordination of Smart Melaka ecosystem and transform it into a vibrant interconnected space that offer higher value added and return on investment.
