ALI MANSON, MPH Vice President of Government Relations and Advocacy, ZERO Prostate Cancer. Ali Manson is an experienced government relations professional with expertise in health policy, and has a passion for health and wellness. In Ali’s previous role at the American Optometric Association (AOA), she took the concerns of eye doctors and patients to policymakers to demand change. She will be such an amazing asset as we storm the hill to fight for prostate cancer research funding and new treatments. For Ali, there is nothing more rewarding than working with and for a nonprofit to achieve a meaningful mission. Prior to AOA, she worked for Prevent Blindness as the Director of Government Affairs, leading policy efforts to improve vision health across the country. She’s also worked for the National Coalition on Health Care, where she developed
strategies to make the American health system more sustainable, affordable, and fair. She earned an advanced degree in public health from George Washington University and received her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia.
JEN MIRAMONTES, CES, MES, CPT Founder, Cancer Champions. Compassionate, experienced, and highly educated, Jen Miramontes has become one of the leading experts on fitness and cancer. She is the founder of Cancer Champions, an online fitness and nutrition program for cancer fighters and survivors. Miramontes has been involved in sports and fitness her entire life and for the past twelve years she has worked as a coach, personal trainer, teacher, and one of only about 500 certified cancer exercise specialists in the world. There is no health issue more personal to Miramontes than that of cancer. Having lost several loved ones to cancer, Miramontes is committed to making a difference for those fighting this awful illness. She has spent many years working with individuals battling cancer. From workshops to seminars, participants will
walk away with the latest research, new ideas, and renewed hope. Fighting cancer involves so much more than radiation and chemotherapy. Fitness and nutrition can help improve mood, energy, and overall well-being, and are vital aspects of the battle against cancer.
SHELBY MONEER Vice President of Patient Programs and Education, ZERO Prostate Cancer. Shelby Moneer leads ZERO’s comprehensive suite of patient support programs. She is an experienced educator and health professional. After earning an advanced degree in health education, she developed educational programs ranging from tobacco cessation to exercise physiology for various nonprofits. Most recently, she was the Director of Education at the Melanoma Research Foundation, where she exercised her passion for supporting and educating cancer patients. She is excited to continue her educational and programmatic work with and for the prostate cancer community.
