Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of Resources this critical role provides the strategic interface between the Director of Resources, Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner. To provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of the Force and Police & Crime Commissioner’s Corporate Assets Strategy. The Associate Director Corporate Assets will lead on all corporate assets ensuring the delivery of key strategic objectives to support Force business priorities and protect the reputation of the Force. The role will represent the Force at local and national level.

Financial: Annual Revenue Budget – Total £12m Annual Capital Budget – Total £40m +
Staff:
Overall management of the 200 Corporate Assets Staff
Other: This post manages a highly skilled department, which provides the Chief Constable and PCC with the skills needed to deliver the specialist services required.
Operating Context:
• Overall management of a highly skilled professional technical department providing a customer focus service to support the delivery of Community First. • Customers are all PCC and Merseyside Police personnel, volunteers and the public • Delivering a service to the Force that meets customer requirements with emphasis on quality control, project management and customer liaison as means of continuous improvement • Looking at a wide range of activities across the whole of the Force’s operation and estate. The work requires extensive knowledge of project management, construction and architecture. • The role requires a full understanding of the different operational activities and special units within the Force, their operating environment and needs. • The postholder will need to be flexible to meet the demands of the role, however ordinarily day working is required.
