Note: This ram is a triplet born February lamb out of our highest indexing ewe. Unfortunately when she lambed in this spring she had mastitis on one side. We pulled this lamb and his brother off and left the ewe to nurse the ewe lamb sibling. The two rams were raised to 30 days on milk replacer. We will be keeping his two siblings for breeding in our flock this fall. Powerful pedigree on both sides. His dam has delivered 15 lambs in 5 lambings. His great granddam is HV3401. She was recently featured in the Polypay newsletter after delivery of her 26th lamb in 10 years at Hidden Valley. One of those rams lambs was the HV 7022 ram, one of the dominant rams in the polypay breed over the past decade. This lambs data puts him in the top 1 % of the breed for US maternal index. His is a thickly made well balanced ram with excellence in both growth and reproduction. His sire is in the top 1% of the breed for milk (Mwwt), top 3% for maternal index and top 5% for post weaning growth.
