The interventional cardiologists at Riley Children’s Health have expertise in using the latest invasive, catheter-based procedures to diagnose and treat congenital heart conditions. Part of an elite cardiology program, our skilled specialists provide essential anatomic evidence during diagnostic procedures to direct cardiovascular surgical interventions. They also repair heart conditions, such as patent ductus arteriosus, atrial septal defect and ventricular septal defect that allow both children and adults to avoid open heart surgery.
Manifest (Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome type) accessory pathways with an acute outcome of “elimination of antegrade conduction (elimination of retrograde conduction)” Proportion of accessory pathways-concealed substrate ablations with an acute outcome of “elimination of retrograde AP conduction”

Indiana’s only accredited adult congenital electrophysiology program
■ Ranked among the leading pediatric heart programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report ■ Pediatric cardiac catheterization lab accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) ■ One of only 10 pediatric facilities nationwide accredited by IAC in cardiac electrophysiology and one of only six in cardiovascular catheterization; only IAC- accredited catheterization lab in Indiana

As a project affiliate, Riley Children’s assists schools and communities in establishing emergency action plans for incidences of sudden cardiac arrest. Advanced technologies and procedures ■ We place subcutaneous implantable cardiac defibrillator systems (S-ICD) for children who will benefit from ICD yet have no indication for a pacemaker. Riley Children’s participated in a multicenter study assessing the effectiveness of S-ICD. ■ Riley Children’s was one of the first in the nation to routinely treat PDA in premature infants through cardiac catheterization. Our team now performs 30 to 40 closures each year in babies as small as 700 grams. ■ We offer transvenous pacemaker system placement involving conduction system pacing (His bundle and left bundle branch pacing) in children and adults with congenital heart disease.
