Riley Children's Health Annual Report 2023 – 2024

PALLIATIVE CARE

“In compiling data and experiences with monochorionic twin pregnancy, the goal of the national registry is to provide a more robust and systematic evaluation of the care of these complex pregnancies.”

The palliative care team at Riley Children’s Health provides expert care for symptom management and shared decision-making for children with lifespan-limiting or life- threatening illness. Amplifying our patient’s voice with other medical teams, we support families in medical decision- making, goals of care discussions, advance directives, and complicated pain and symptom management. With a goal to help patients experience the best possible quality of life, our team also oversees end-of-life care for patients in pediatric hospice.
