This interdisciplinary program is designed to meet the individual needs of children with limb deficiency. Program goals include maximizing fit and function of prosthetics, delivering comprehensive care, and developing personalized treatment plans to promote a normal and active lifestyle. Spina Bifida Program and Cerebral Palsy Program Using a multidisciplinary approach, these programs offer a variety of ancillary services, including dietary support, orthotics, and a wheelchair and car seat specialist. Our Cerebral Palsy Program is the only one of its kind in Indiana. The Spina Bifida Program at Riley Children’s is one of the largest in the nation. We participate in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Spina Bifida Patient Registry. Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Program This comprehensive program delivers multispecialty care coordination to meet the unique needs of patients with traumatic brain injuries and concussions. Brachial Plexus Program Interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive treatment for brachial plexus injuries. We are able to accept patients requiring ventilator care, those with major trauma and patients with disorders of consciousness because of the multidisciplinary specialty support available at Riley Children’s. Our average admission rating (50.0) compared to similar facilities (52.3) and nationally (53.3) (used to calculate the WeeFIM rating) demonstrates the level of medical complexity of our patients. Although our team cares for the most impaired patients, Riley Children’s has similar discharge scores as programs caring for less medically complex patients.
