Our transplant surgical director collaborates with referring physicians and other Riley specialists to determine the best course of treatment for each child—use of total parenteral nutrition, other medical management, surgical intervention or transplant. When an intestine or multivisceral transplant is necessary, our team has the expertise to facilitate these complex cases. Living Donor Transplant Program Riley Children’s—offering living donor kidney transplants and liver transplants in collaboration with the living donor program at IU Health— gives pediatric patients access to the significant advantages that come from a living donor transplant. These include shorter wait times and an organ that typically lasts longer. Kidney Transplant Program Our surgical director is one of the most experienced transplant surgeons in the nation; has performed more than 3,000 kidney transplants, including more than 220 pediatric kidney transplants.
