Pipelife Ireland are throwing their weight behind Tank Twomey and his group of volunteers who are building a home for a young autistic boy and his family. Tank is founder of the Goodness Army Build Team, which took part in the RTE DIY Big Build TV show in 2020. From their involvement in that project, Tank got the idea to help other families in need, like Adam’s. Adam is seven-years-old and has a severe form of Autism. He is non-verbal with sensory issues, but is a warm and loving child with a smile that would melt your heart. At the moment, the family are living in a mobile home between Rossmore and Upperchurch in Co. Tipperary. They were trying to fix up the house they had bought, but the work that was needed was overwhelming. The house needs total refurbishment to bring it up to living standard. This is where the

Goodness Army Build Team came on board to build a new home for them. All of the work is done voluntarily and they have a Go Fund me page to help offset the costs of the build. “Tank got in touch with us to see if we would help them out by providing the pipework for the plumbing and heating aspect of the house which we were delighted to do, and something that we will continue to do in the future with Tank,” said Timmy Mullins from Pipelife. “Tradesmen from all over the country are giving up their time every weekend to go and work on this new build. This is truly amazing and as Tank himself would say, “When good meets good you can create magic!” You can donate to this great cause here: www.gofundme.com/f/a-home-for- adam-2021

MYLIFE’S SEVENSEVENSCHARITYCLIMB During 2021, family and friends of MyLife Bathrooms will take part in a variety of fundraising events to raise vital funds for their four chosen charity partners: Cancer Fund for Children, Down Right Brilliant, Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and Ronald McDonald House. Devastatingly, COVID-19 has forced many charities across Northern Ireland to cancel their fundraising activities throughout 2020/21 and left them experiencing difficulties accessing much-needed funds. Committed to lending their support, MyLife Bathrooms will match all money raised throughout the year and will be split equally amongst the charities in December 2021. Their first event of the year will see #TeamMyLife tackle ‘The Seven Sevens’ in the infamous Mourne Mountains – an 18-mile test of endurance along Slieve Donard, Slieve Commedagh, Slieve Lamaghan, Slieve Binnian, Slieve Meelbeg, Slieve Meelmore and Slieve Bearnagh. To keep up-to-date with their fundraising activities or donate, visit www. mylifebathrooms.com. Remember, every penny counts as all money raised will be matched and split between four very-important charities.
