Based in Belfast, Fusion Heating offers comprehensive boiler service and installation options for home-owners and landlords, with the aim of helping to avoid excessive running costs, future breakdowns and ensuring compliance with current legislation. The winning project involved Fusion Heating replacing two separate communal plant rooms and re-piping 26 properties, while also maintaining the heating for vulnerable tenants throughout the duration of works. Based in Newtownabbey, with offices in Manchester and Newcastle, Vaughan Engineering Services Ltd picked up the Large Commercial Project of the Year Award for their work on the Ulster Hospital Acute Services Block.

Established in 1955, Vaughan Engineering is a family-owned

mechanical and electrical building services engineering contractor with a track record for delivering complex engineering services throughout the UK and Ireland. On this project, the company was appointed to provide the mechanical services installation at the 8-storey, 30,000m² Ulster Hospital Acute Services Block in Belfast. The new building includes a mortuary, main kitchen, emergency department, nuclear medicine department, imaging department and 177 beds. Vaughan Engineering was praised by
