ENERGY EFFICIENCY

GRANT’S INTEGRATED HEATING PACKAGES ARE HELPING TO SAVE TIME AND MAXIMISE EFFICIENCIES IN NEW-BUILD PROPERTIES... Tailored for new-buildprojects

F or over 40 years, leading home heating technology manufacturer Grant has been developing innovative products and services to ensure its network of plumbers and installers can save time and maximise efficiencies in home heating installations. To continue this commitment, Grant has developed individually tailored integrated heating packages for those working on new-build projects. Grant’s bespoke packages complement the ability of the company’s innovative heating technologies to work together seamlessly. Each individual package is designed by the Grant technical team, free-of-charge, which includes sizing and specification of all technologies to suit the property and the property owner’s preferences. This in turn helps the new-build to achieve compliance, while benefitting from the high efficiencies for which Grant heating technologies are renowned. Technologies within each package have been designed with ease of installation in mind to help the plumber or installer save time. Typically, a Grant integrated heating package includes a main heat source, hot water storage system and heat emitters. Grant smart heating controls are also available and can be included within each package. For most new-build properties in the Republic of Ireland, a Grant Aerona 3 R32 air-to-water air source heat pump is included as the main heat source, which

helps to meet Part L compliance as required under building regulations. If working on a new-build in Northern Ireland, a biofuel compatible Grant Vortex condensing boiler may also be included as the main heat source for the property. KEY FEATURE Highly efficient hot water storage is a key feature within a Grant integrated heating package, with options now extended to include the latest hot water storage unit – the Grant Integrated Unit. If this unit isn’t suitable for the new-build home, a Grant pre-plumbed and pre-wired cylinder will be specified. During the specification of the most appropriate hot water storage system for the new-build property, Grant’s specialist team will also calculate the correct cylinder capacity to suit the exact requirements of the property and to ensure no energy is wasted. Heat emitters are also specified by the team, based on the unique needs of the property to ensure optimum efficiency. These may include the Grant Uflex underfloor heating system and/ or Grant Afinia aluminium radiators. The

Grant Uflex underfloor heating system and Afinia radiators can help new-build properties achieve NZEB standards and compliance with Part L of the building regulations, especially when paired with the Grant Aerona 3 R32 air-to-water air source heat pump. This combination of technologies improves the overall efficiency of a new build property as both the Aerona 3 R32 heat pump and the heat emitter systems can run at lower temperatures, therefore enabling savings to be made on annual fuel bills. Each of these heat emitter technologies included in Grant’s integrated heating packages can be controlled using the latest heating controls system - the Grant Uflex 230V Heatmiser Neo Stats.
