Thursday, April 24th the Grapevine Chamber had the opportunity to honor the Teachers, Paraprofessionals and Employees of the Year from Grapevine Colleyville ISD. Our business members were joined by members of the Colleyville Chamber at the Hilton DFW Lakes for a wonderful luncheon and time spent cheering for each recipient as they crossed the stage and received the well-deserved recognition! The luncheon excitement was capped off with the announcements of the Districtwide winners who will move on to compete regionally. As stated at the event to those special people with education as their calling: “You do a job that 99% of the rest of us in the room couldn’t do, don’t want to do and pray for you every day that you are doing it!” Congratulations to all of those recognized, but special congrats to: Zainab Ellis of Grapevine Elementary - the Carolyn Frank GCISD Paraprofessional of the Year, Emma Ackels from Silver Lake Elementary Schoo l as the Elementary Teacher of the Year and to, Gina Ramon from Cross Timbers Middle School as the Secondary Teacher of the Year! Special thanks to the community businesses who sponsored the GCISD recipients, Prinicipals and supervisors, as well as the schools Communication and Human Resources staff for their help in coordinating this extraordinary event that we are blessed to be able to make happen each year.
