When Mark-Maker Company, Inc. of Wyoming, Michigan has installed a Xeikon ThermoFlexX 80 S imager from Flint Group.The company intends to use its new imager to offer more to its existing cus- tomers through enhanced prepress and plates, and to produce finished plates for packaging printers throughout the United States. Resolution, speed and ease of use of the ThermoFlexX 80 S imager are re- portedly the company’s primary reasons for choosing the Flint Group/Xeikon equipment. Founded in 1970, Mark-Maker began by producing rubber plates, and in 1976, added liquid polymer to its production capability. It further expanded in 1978, and added steel rule die manufacturing to for- ward integrate into the corrugated industry, and in the early 1990s, it installed sheet polymer plate pro- duction to serve the high-end packaging require- ments in the corrugated and web printing industries.
