As mentioned in the welcome letter we once again are selling some bred heifers. We kept and bred more replacement heifers than we would truly need, with the full intention that if breed up was good across the board, we would again offer a group for sale. We synchronize all the heifers and time breed them AI. We know that by time breeding them, we do give up some first service conception rate, and so
to make the sort on these bred heifers simple, we again are selling the bred heifers that did not settle on the first service AI. We bred 83 heifers, had 4 opens, and are letting these 14 go. No other sort was done beside due date. These heifers have not been treated any differently than the rest of our heifers that we are retaining. They were all kept at home until August and then were hauled to Wibaux and spent the fall on grass before returning home in November and have been on the same feed as the others. The Heifers calving date and sex of calf is listed to the best of our knowledge. We would ask that these heifers get taken home on sale day or picked up as soon as possible after the sale. All heifers are bred to either Bridle Bit All Terrain L3110 (ASA # 4211473) or LRS 9117L (ASA # 4199821). Both bulls were turned out together with the heifers following AI. DNA can determine the sire of the calf if necessary.
