So, that is how Free Lunch got his name, he offers Angus like calving ease, fleshing ability, and daughter mature size - with the extra muscle and power of his Simmental heritage. His Tanker dam is outstanding and these sons are impressive, but his daughters are flat out awesome. Thanks to Tyrell Rousey of Rousey SimAngus for the picture of Free Lunch in the breeding pasture. We have tested this bull in a random mating progeny test for feedlot performance and carcass traits. The results place him in the top 5% of the breed for carcass weight and the top 25% for both marbling and ribeye. Semen available

Leading off the Simangus is my favorite Free Lunch son ever, and we have had a bunch. Strong numbers for growth and muscle with moderate birth weight and strong stayability. His dam raises one of the best every year. Phenotypically impressive in every way, he is an outlier for skeletal width and visible muscle. One of the most impressive bulls in the pen from a cow family that consistently adds muscle. His dam always beats the average, with a progeny WW ratio of 104. We think his numbers overestimate his calving ease potential, I would not make a habit of using him on heifers, and they underestimate his ability to sire extra pounds. Simmental shape and mass with Angus features. This bull is wide chested, big backed, and stout out of his pins but remains attractive through his head and neck, clean jointed and sound on the move. Balanced numbers and phenotype stemming from our Dixie Erica donor cow on the Angus side.
Aptly named, Mass n Balance describes him well. Out of an outstanding cow that has a 366 day calving interval and average progeny WW ratio of 109 - she stamps her progeny with a lot of body and hip. Will sire daughters that thrive without extra feed and super stout steer progeny.
