Description: • Labor Force: Includes all people over the age 16 who are either working or actively looking for work (in thousands). • Unemployment Rate: The number of unemployed as a percentage of the labor force. • Employment: Includes all people over age 16 who are working (in thousands). Analysis: • While unemployment rates remain very low, they have increased modestly since 2022 Q3 for the Central Wisconsin region. • The good news for employers is that labor force and total employment has also increased for the region over the same time period. The increase in the number of people in the labor force is largely responsible for the higher unemployment rates.
