With the completion of our McKenzie Street, Belmont residential development, Housing Choices is proud to provide architect-designed, environmentally sustainable aordable homes. Delivered through a community housing model, this project fosters resident support and community connections. Developed in partnership with Homes Victoria under the Victorian Government’s $5.3 billion Big Housing Build, the McKenzie Street project comprises 29 thoughtfully designed apartments across two double-storey buildings by Kennedy Nolan Architects.

Features include double-glazed windows, water-ecient fixtures, recirculated water, and low-impact materials, alongside gardens designed for gathering, food production, and resident enjoyment. All dwellings meet Livable Housing Australia Silver Level, 7 Star NatHERS, and 5 Star Green Star standards. Located near Belmont’s vibrant shopping precinct, public transport, walking and cycling trails, parks, and the Barwon River, this development is ideally positioned for residents. Homes are primarily being oered to senior applicants from the Victorian Housing Register and Housing Choices will provide tenancy and property management services and initiate community-building programs.

Each apartment maximises cross-ventilation, shading, and access to communal gardens.
