US Travelers generally do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. Passports should have at least two blank pages and enough remaining validity. If you arrive from (or transit through) a yellow fever-risk country, you must show a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Malaria risk is present in certain regions (e.g., Kruger, Limpopo), so malaria prophylaxis may be recommended depending on your itinerary. KENYA Kenya is the birthplace of the word “safari,” offering classic wildlife experiences and hosting the beginning of the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara. It’s home to the culturally vibrant Maasai people and the world-renowned long-distance runners of the Rift Valley. Visitors can explore Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak, and experience Nairobi, the only capital city with a fully functioning national park on its doorstep. Travelers to the destination need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization online (eTA) before arrival. For health/ entry requirements, a yellow fever vaccine is required only if you’re coming from a country with yellow fever risk. Recommended vaccines include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, and staying up to date on routine immunizations (MMR, polio, etc.). Malaria prophylaxis is advised for many parts of Kenya.
