B) Lymphatic Trunks and Ducts
As lymphatic vessels exit the lymph nodes in particular regions of the body, they unit to form Lymph Trunks.
Once lymph has left the trunks, it passes into 2 main ducts before draining into venous blood:
Thoracic Duct (Left Lymphatic Duct):
The main duct for return of lymph to the blood. “Dumps” into the venous blood at the junction of the left internal jugular and left subclavian veins.
Right Lymphatic Duct:
“Dumps” into venous blood at the junction of right internal jugular and right subclavian veins.
