VISIONARY TRAINERS TRANSFORMING HOSPITALITY

Headlining the Chicago Conference:

As one of our most popular past keynotes, he had us laughing, he had us crying, and he had us up and out of our seats! Joel will bring to Chicago all of his signature improv and engagement, while also delivering fresh ideas on how to bring the TA DA to your change initiatives.

The TA DA of Change: Leading Teams During Change with Passion and Success

How can your team work creatively and productively while dealing with change? Since change and disruption are constant, your teams must effectively navigate the chaos to find success (and maybe even have a bit of fun doing it). Improvisation can teach us to embrace change, work in the moment, and take ownership of our own motivation. The hilarious Joel Zeff will demonstrate his famous TA DA spirit through a series of exercises designed to help you embrace change and lead your teams in a positive and supportive way. In improvisation, there is no script, no plan, and no rehearsal. There are choices and opportunities. Change happens! We can either be open and flexible to it or let it steamroll us. We choose our attitude. We choose to stay in the game. Choose to join us in Chicago to learn these new techniques to take back to your organization!

Anna Mason is Our Chicago Conference Director! And here’s another person who brings the TA DA each and every time! We are so excited to announce that Anna will be heading up our Chicago conference team! She has made significant contributions over the past few years on previous conference teams, including Facilities Co-Director for the Seattle conference, Communications Director for the Orlando conference, and most recently, First Time Attendee Co-Director for the Charlotte conference. She is ready to bring her unique perspectives and leadership to your CHART Chicago conference experience!

PresidenTalks Expanding Perspectives Through Others

CHART members make CHART what it is, the go-to place for hospitality trainers. Two examples of this include coverage around the Hospitality Training 360 Report and a podcast that was released last month. As L&D professionals, we all know that content does not

stand on its own. It’s about the learning modality. In April, my friend and fellow board member Kelly McCutcheon and I took part in a CHART webinar hosted by Frances Liu of Opus Training to dig into the Hospitality Training 360 Report. If you haven’t checked out this report, please do so as there are many training insights and nuggets that you can take back to your company. The thing I loved about this webinar was gaining perspective and creating meaning on what the data is telling us. The cool thing was that the participants all brought their own examples and Check out Hospitality Training 360 Report parts 1 and 2, view the recorded webinar, and read the associated blogs at chart.org.

CHART President Damian Hanft

added to the conversations for us to create meaning. There are a series of blogs (also worth checking out if you haven’t) that offer additional perspectives on trends in hospitality training. Sam Worobec released an episode of his Simplified podcast, in which he interviewed various CHART members and partners to hear why CHART is so unique and special. I love this podcast as he pulls out what we all know, CHART is about the critical relationships between members that create and foster a unique and exceptional learning environment. We create new ways of looking at things through others. Best Wishes,
