How To Succeed By Seeing The Whole Story

Introducing New Tools For The Next Generation Of Knowledge Work Q. Can you tell us about the new Dropbox products coming next year? A. We recently announced new ways to simplify customer workflows, so they can find what they need and get the most out of Dropbox. Both Dropbox Business and Dropbox Business Plus will offer more than file storage, integrating file sync and share, transfer, eSignatures, document analytics and controls, video capabilities and PDF editing into one product with one subscription. There’s also Dropbox Dash , an AI-powered universal search that connects customer tools, content and apps in a single search bar to locate content. Dropbox AI utilizes generative AI, answering questions and summarizing large files—such as contracts or meeting recordings—within file previews. Today, we’re making it even easier for customers to get the information they need without manually searching for it. Lastly, Dropbox Studio is a video collaboration tool that lets users seamlessly create, edit, review, approve and publish high-quality videos. Q. How will the Dropbox AI products improve productivity? A. According to a Dropbox sponsored study conducted by Economist Impact, 42 percent of people surveyed said they typically don’t spend more than an hour on productive work without being interrupted. 1 The study also estimates the average knowledge worker loses more than 500 hours to distraction annually, with 157 hours lost to unproductive messages from workplace chat apps. Our CEO and co-founder Drew Houston said it best, “Our digital environments were never designed to be our primary workspaces. People are experiencing information overload and disjointed workflows at unprecedented levels, leading to a waste of brain power on ‘work about work.’ AI has the potential to help people thrive by automating routine tasks, increasing productivity and freeing up mental space so people can get back to doing the work that matters most.” Q. How does your partner program grow business with these products, and when can channel partners take advantage? A. These products enhance customer productivity. For partners, the program supports these new products and offers new opportunities to grow and sell with Dropbox. It’s also possible to take advantage of our early access program, allowing them to preview new products, offer feedback and influence what we release next. Partners can gain access to these new products in 2024, starting with Dropbox Business and Business Plus. Partners can check with their distributors to see if the new plans are available.
